Meet Brown Bear (Tiramisu) & his pretty Mama Henna! 🀎🐻πŸ₯°

After welcoming Peaches (Violet chinchilla) into their family, Henna and Calvin decided it was time to find her a little friend… and guess who stole their hearts? Our very own Brown Bear, a Brown Velvet RPA chinchilla, specially hand-picked from our trusted European breeder! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ίβœ¨

But the real magic happened when these two started dust bathing together and grooming each other. πŸ₯Ί The moment we saw them doing all these together, we just KNEW… THEY WERE MEANT TO BE HAHAHA! πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

It’s always such a heartwarming feeling to see our chinchillas find a companion they click with. Watching them bond and become comfortable with each other is truly one of the sweetest parts of what we do at Fluff Loft. 🏑🀎

πŸ–€ Meet our Black Pearl girl β€” still waiting for her special someone.

This little girl has been with us for quite some time, and we thought it was time to share a little more about the personality behind those beautiful dark eyes. πŸ₯Ή

She has her own little routines: sitting on her platform, enjoying her hay, watching the world from her food bowl, and occasionally deciding that ALL her bedding needs to go before she can sleep comfortably. πŸ˜‚

We've tried pairing her with cage mates, but so far, she seems to prefer having her own space. Interestingly, she seems to enjoy human company quite a bit more! 🀎

Whenever we open her cage door, she'll come over to greet us with her tiny, gentle nibbles. We're never quite sure if she's grooming us or simply saying hello, HAHA! And one of her cutest little habits? Hiding her head between our arms. πŸ₯Ή

She's a little character in her own way. She may not be the girl looking for a chinchilla roommate, but she has her own way of connecting with the humans around her.

Now, we're hoping to find someone who appreciates her for exactly who she is β€” a girl with her own preferences, little quirks, and lots of personality. πŸ–€

πŸ‘€πŸ­ IT TOOK THEM MONTHS TO CUDDLE… SO WHY DO WE EXPECT THEM TO TRUST US OVERNIGHT? πŸ₯ΉπŸ€Ž

When these two same-gender chinchillas arrived in Singapore, I was the one who paired them together! 🐭🐭

Guess what? Even after being paired, it still took MONTHS before they became comfortable enough to sleep side by side! πŸ˜­πŸ’•

And now look at them, staring straight at the camera like they have something to say. πŸ˜‚ One of them is 肉肉, who even gave us a cheeky wink! πŸ˜‰

🀎 Here's what their story teaches us about bonding with our chinchillas, too!

🐾 Trust takes time. If it took them months to become comfortable with each other, we should also give them time to build trust with us.

❀️ Not every chinchilla is naturally cuddly. Some approach you quickly, while others need more time before they feel safe around you.

πŸ‘€ Never force the bond. Let them approach you at their own pace. Respect their boundaries and celebrate the little moments when they become more comfortable.

πŸ’‘ And remember: Being paired doesn't automatically mean two chinchillas are bonded. Always observe their behaviour and prioritise their safety.
