Dear pawrents and friends,
Please do not hesitate to reschedule your little furry ones' grooming appointment should the haze condition be bad and in the unhealthy range. The little furries' well-being remains our top priority, as always!

Check live air quality readings on Haze.gov.sg or use the myENV app before planning your pet's routine, as 24-hour PSI levels in Singapore have recently reached the unhealthy range (128–174).
*** Key Haze Advisory Tips for Pets ***
• Limit Outdoor Time: Restrict dog walks to short, quick potty breaks rather than long walks or exercise. Keep cats strictly indoors.
• Clean Fur and Paws: Wipe your pet's fur, paws, and face with a clean, damp cloth after any outdoor exposure to remove settled PM2.5 smoke particles before they groom themselves and ingest toxins.
• Keep Indoor Air Clean: Close windows and doors, turn on air conditioning or fans, and run a True HEPA air purifier (such as an H13 HEPA model) in the room your pets spend the most time in.
• Do Not Use Masks: Avoid putting human face masks or N95s on pets, as this blocks proper heat dissipation and can cause heatstroke.
• Stock Up Essentials: Keep an adequate supply of pet food, litter, p*e pads, and prescribed medications at home to minimize trips outside.
Vulnerable Animals
Extra care is needed for high-risk pets:
• Flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds: Pugs, bulldogs, shih tzus, and British Shorthairs.
• Senior pets, puppies, and kittens.
• Pets with pre-existing conditions: Asthmatic cats or animals with chronic heart and respiratory issues.
• Small animals and birds: Rabbits, rodents, and birds with sensitive or fast respiratory systems.
Warning Signs to Watch For
Contact a veterinarian immediately if you observe any of the following symptoms:
• Persistent coughing, wheezing, or gagging
• Fast, noisy, or laboured breathing (open-mouth breathing or panting in cats is always an emergency)
• Red, watery, or irritated eyes with nasal discharge
• Unusual lethargy, weakness, or reluctance to move
• Pale, purple, or bluish gums (seek emergency vet care straight away)
