Wrote a little Instagram post about rabbit shedding. All rabbits shed, regardless of breed. Oh, maybe the hairless ones don't have fur to shed 🤭. Short coat like dwarfs and lops, super short like rex n plush lops all shed. Some shed cycles are heavier than others. Some shed a heavy cycle 2-3 times a year, some seems like they are shedding throughout the year... Rabbit is a species of animals that shed a full coat of fur regularly.
Removing their excess coat helps prevent them or their buddies from ingesting too much when cleaning themselves, which may cause blockages/gut issues if the gut is inefficient at that point of time.
Happy Brushing! 🪮🪥
Slicker brush, fine tooth comb, deshedder, fingers, tooth brush, lint roller etc whichever works, as long as we can help the kiddos remove their excess is fine.
If you're concerned about the fur flying all over your house (which surely will happen 🤪), feel free to reach us for a grooming appointment
