For Tricia, it wasn't just about seeing the physical transformation. It was seeing Truffle return to the resilient, spunky dog she had always known.

From being double-coned because she couldn't stop scratching… to finally being comfortable in her own skin again. 🥹

When Truffle first came to Dog Lab, we didn't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We took the time to understand her skin condition, history and problem areas before tailoring a treatment plan around what she needed.

With her condition being more severe at the start, Truffle began with three sessions a week, which was gradually reduced as her skin improved, eventually moving into weekly maintenance.

And little by little, the changes started showing. Less itching. Less nipping. Less “Truffle snow” around the house. Her skin became more comfortable, her fur grew back and eventually, her once-bare tail became bushy again. 🐾

For Tricia, this was the point where she knew something had to change. Truffle's constant itching also coincided with another painful chapter: recurring problems with her eye, which eventually had to be removed.

In Part 2 of Truffle's recovery story, Tricia shares one of the hardest periods of their journey and her determination to find something that could finally give Truffle the relief she needed, a search that eventually led them to Dog Lab.

It started with the scratching. Then the nipping. Then the flakes.

At first, Truffle's skin issues didn't seem like something serious. But as the itching continued and her fur started thinning, it became clear that this was more than the usual skin irritation.

Tricia tried what many pet parents would — vet visits, creams, sprays, medicated baths and even TCM treatments. Some brought temporary relief, but the itching always came back.

And slowly, Truffle's condition got worse.

In Part 1 of Truffle's recovery story, Tricia shares the early signs they almost brushed off, everything they tried, and the moment she realised something was really wrong. It was the beginning of a difficult skin journey, one that would eventually bring Truffle to Dog Lab.
