- Firm and well-formed: move forward when stools remain consistent
- Slightly soft: hold the current ratio
- Loose or watery: stop progressing and return to the last ratio that produced firm stools

Keep treats, toppers, supplements, and other dietary changes consistent while your dog adjusts.
