Transformation Thursday!

Zolo's first groom at Cats Garage SG, and the one thing his session reminded us to share with every indoor cat owner in Singapore. 🐱

Zolo came in for a classic groom with Mimi. Coat, nails, ears, bath, blowout, the full works. He handled the bath with way more enthusiasm than we expected. The nail trim, slightly less so.

During his session, we found fur mites, and Zolo is fully indoor. This comes up more often than people realise. Indoor environments don't provide complete protection from parasites. A Revolution spot-on treatment every 3 months is simple, affordable prevention. If your indoor cat has never had one, it's worth a conversation with your vet.

Otherwise, Zolo is a complete gentleman and an absolute unit in that cowboy hat. We are big fans. 🤠

Singapore cat owners — the deadline is closer than you think. 🐾
From 1 September 2026, keeping an unlicensed cat in Singapore is an offence under the Animals and Birds Act. Fines of up to S$5,000 per cat.

Here's the part everyone needs to know: right now, it's completely free.
The government set up a two-year transition period specifically to give cat owners time to get this done at zero cost. That window closes on 31 August 2026.

What you need to do:
1️⃣ Make sure your cat is microchipped
2️⃣ Complete the free online Pet Ownership Course (one-time, takes about 20–30 min)
3️⃣ Apply at pals.avs.gov.sg

Sterilised cats get a lifetime licence. You only have to do this once.

From 1 September 2026, we'll also be requesting your cat's AVS licence screenshot at check-in as part of our standard process.

The degrease is deeper. The shampoos are breed-specific. The finish is precise: face framing, coat placement, everything.

Our groomers Mimi and Leah are ISFC certified and have competed at competition level themselves. They know exactly what a show coat needs to look like, and they'll make sure your cat feels comfortable throughout the process not just competition-ready.

Singapore's humidity is working against your cat's coat
here's what that actually means. 🌏🐱

At 80–90% humidity year-round:
🌡️ Moisture gets trapped beneath thick or double-layered coats
🦠 Creates conditions for yeast and bacteria at the skin level
🐾 Paw sweat (yes, cats do this) can travel into the coat
💧 Coats take longer to dry naturally — making baths riskier without proper equipment
We've adjusted our grooming approach specifically for Singapore's climate:
✂️ More frequent de-shedding
🌬️ High-velocity drying to prevent moisture retention
