At BearHut, we believe that every cat who walks through our doors carries a story, and behind every cat is a family doing their best, loving deeply, and sometimes struggling quietly. With the permission of their humans, we would like to share the story of Singa & Sedih.

Singa and Sedih first came to BearHut last year while their family was in between homes. For six beautiful months, we shared our days with them; their quirks, their routines, their companionship. Their parents visited whenever they could, and earlier this year, the whole family was finally reunited in time to celebrate Hari Raya together as one.

Today, that same family is going through something incredibly heavy.

One of their beloved humans is currently battling stage 4 cancer. Her condition has taken a difficult turn. Doctors found that her liver is rapidly failing, causing toxins to affect her brain and ultimately leading to a stroke. The situation is serious, and the family is holding on tightly to hope, strength, and prayer.

We visited her recently. Even in her fragile state, when words were hard and recognition came and went, she tried to smile. She listened intently as we shared stories about Singa & Sedih, the boys she loves so dearly. In that moment, we were reminded of how deeply our pets are intertwined with our lives, our healing, and our hearts.

This post is not just to share their story, but to honour the love between pets and humans. And to ask our community to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. May they be granted strength, comfort, and healing in this difficult time.
