When your dog lives a more luxurious life than you do... 💀

Tried the new Dyson Supersonic Nural HD16 on my Goldie because honestly, her scalp health is a priority. The way this thing instantly PAUSES when you put it down is pure magic! (So I can take this video with my other free hand!) And the infrared sensor automatically drops the heat so I didn’t fry her sensitive skin.

🐶 For senior dogs, movement matters. Even the stairs can be an opportunity. But for starters, I would encourage walking up stairs rather than down stairs, as going down requires them to fight against gravity, which can be a bit tougher for senior dogs.

Walking up stairs encourages your dog to lift and place each leg deliberately, while engaging the core, hind legs and muscles that help with balance and stability.

It can be a simple way to encourage more purposeful movement during everyday activities—not just during their walks. 🐾

But remember, every senior dog is different. Stairs may not be suitable for dogs with pain, significant weakness, joint problems or poor balance, so never force your dog to use them.

💡 The goal isn’t simply to get your dog to exercise more. It’s about finding the right kind of movement for their individual needs.

🐶 Is your senior dog slowing down?

As our dogs age, it’s common for their legs to become weaker over time. Alongside appropriate veterinary care and treatment, there are also gentle techniques you can learn to help them feel more comfortable at home.

In this video, I’m demonstrating one of the simple massage techniques I often share with fur parents to help support dogs with weaker legs.

Remember, every dog is different. If your dog has sudden weakness, persistent pain, or difficulty walking, it’s important to have them assessed before trying home exercises.

They say the grass is greener on the other side... In Kooper’s case, it literally is. 🌿🐴

After leaving Singapore, this lucky boy now spends his days grazing at Golden Years Equine Retreat Ltd, galloping, making friends, rolling around, and enjoying wide open spaces as far as the eye can see.

As more horses leave our shores, every goodbye feels bittersweet. But seeing updates like this reminds us that some goodbyes lead to beautiful new chapters.

This pup has a weaker left hip, so here are a few exercises we’re working on together to build strength and confidence.

Throwback to last week’s adjustment session with this gentle soul 🐴🤍

As keeping horses in Singapore becomes increasingly difficult, many of my horse patients are slowly relocating overseas to bigger and beautiful spaces. One by one, familiar faces I’ve seen for years are leaving. These days, moments like this feel a little heavier.

Over the years, I’ve watched them grow older, recover from injuries, some retire, some simply enjoy quiet moments with the people who love them. For now, just feeling grateful for every nuzzle, every adjustment session, and every horse I’ve had the privilege to care for. 🐾
