When you thought artificial flowers were a safe bet, then BOOM! Now I’ve got bully trance happening in those too. 😂

All the real plants in our house are up on stools so they can be left alone, but apparently we’ll have to put the fake ones out of reach too. 🙈

Mom thought it was Gerd playing with the flowers and was about to run out and tell her off when she saw me… 😂

What a rollercoaster of a morning.

The puppies arrived, but sadly our first little girl was born sleeping. 💔

After that, Greta decided she’d had enough and figured it was a good time for a nap. Fair enough… just not for too long. So off to the emergency vet we went.

An ultrasound showed there was a stressed puppy still inside, so Greta had to have an emergency C-section.

The good news? Both mama and puppy are doing well. ❤️🙏🏼

And because life apparently loves perfect timing…

One human hurt their back in the middle of everything, the cat had a pre-booked vet appointment, and the other human was supposed to be at work.

So Mom had to rub pain relief gel on Dad’s back, somehow wrestle him into the car while he was yelling in pain, and hope he can make it to pick up Greta and the baby. 🙈

Fingers crossed he manages… otherwise Mom might have to leave work and rescue them too! 😂🙈

Now we pray for the little pup & mom to be strong and healthy 🙏🏼

Home from the veterinarian!

For those who haven’t followed us since Gerd’s beginning, she was born with her hind legs twisted because there was so little space in the womb. Her legs slowly straightened out, but one of her hind legs remained smaller in both size and length.

We had her X-rayed as a puppy and didn’t find anything unusual, and the plan was to do another X-ray at 6 months old.
Today was that day, and they still found nothing!
Her spine, pelvis, and legs all looked fine.

The next step is another X-ray once she is fully grown, and until then we will continue with rehab to strengthen her muscles and encourage her to use her left hind leg more.

The future is still uncertain because we don’t know how this will affect her long term. We can do a CT scan to more correct measure the size of the bones and see if there is any difference in length, but right now she is not affected and shows no signs of pain, so we will wait until she is fully grown and take it from there. 🙏🏼
