Little powerhouse Kärrets Polandro 796 at his first show ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great round AND jump-off!

Last weekend made me realize how special our partnership has become. We have done it all together, from foal to Swedish Young Horse Championships Breeders Trophy 2 years in a row and up to **-level.

Saturday's showjumping round gave me goosebumbs. Normally, this is where I'm most nervous, but warm-up gave me such an incredible feeling I just knew we were heading for a clear round.

The cross-country course is quite hilly and going down the first slope we somehow slipped and had a near accident (nowhere near a fence). This made me real defensive and of course, the horse immediately picked up on this....so we went slow even though this wasn't my original plan...plenty of time penalties and we missed out on top 5. Still impressed by how easily and confidently she jumps water, drop, tripelbrush like a seasoned event horse

incredibly hot and extremely warm 🥵☀️🥵☀️🥵☀️

Not sure what to expect, first time ever on his back, but Cyrus behaved like a seasoned show horse, took it all in stride. I did not have the time to walk the cross-country course so it was a bit confusing to say the least 😂

Roya jumped her cross-country clear and effortlyless ⭐️

Huge thank you to Vinslövs Ryttarförening for batteling the heat with big smiles 😁

We did it! Finally back in the eventing game 🇸🇪
A huge accomplishment for us (or me specifically) 💚

A really sh*tty dressage, way too many biting critters to be able to focus, a nervous rider entering the show jumping ring and a not overly confident rider leaving the cross-country start box. Roya seemed not aware of her nervous rider and jumped everything beautifully, confidently, very relaxed, trakhener, narrow trippelbrush, water, drop, a train 🚄 and a church 🏰

Yes, I went slow, taking my time, crusing along in a very comfortable, easy mode. I was able to relax and enjoy every moment, taking it all in. Coming towards the end sprinting up the last hill with plenty of gas left in the tank 💪

This weekend I finally made it back to the show ring.

Ten months. That is how long it had been since I last sat in a dressage saddle, rode a full test or even considered entering a competition. Countless hours of physical rehabilitation, hard work, pain, tears and despair I finally made it
back.

We were narrowly denied the win but not too bad for an event horse to give the fancy dressage horses a run for their money. 😉🐴
