🩸The ventral abdominal vein is not a common venipuncture site in lizards. We use it during the anesthesia, for euthanasia, chemotherapy or for blood sampling in special cases.
🩸This large vein goes along the ventral midline of the coelom. The needle is inserted not deep, craniad angle along the ventral midline. Because the vein is big we need to apply adequate pressure after sampling, otherwise hematoma can occur.
