Kastrations
The season for castrations is upon us. We perform our castrations under short acting injectable anaesthesia so the horse is lying down during the procedure. This gives us much better access to the surgical site and allows us to control any excessive bleeding and deal with other unforeseen possible complications better. We are also able to disinfect the surgical site better, which reduces the risk of post surgical infections.
