Morgan and Intruder: Bachelors share a unique bond. While they compete fiercely for mares, viewing each other as enemies, winter changes everything. Once the mares are settled, the bachelors grow close, seeking companionship. Their focus shifts from mating to survival. Remarkably, if one bachelor gets injured and needs rest, the other will stay by his side, acting as his eyes and ears. This support can last for weeks or even months. They’ll leave the herd to find a quiet area where the injured stallion can heal without the risk of further harm. The healthy horse remains vigilant, protecting his companion from other horses or threats. One day, when the injured stallion is well enough to be on its own, the two will separate. But rest assured, they have a deep bond for the remainder of their lives.
