Hessa Al Jood is beginning to show more of herself with each passing season. Not through anything hurried or deliberately displayed, but in the small details that become increasingly difficult to overlook, the way she carries her neck, the expression in her eye, the balance beginning to settle through her frame.

She is the first Al Jood-bred daughter of D Henneyyah (D Shagran × D Haneen by FA El Rasheem), with TM Itaipu (El Tino × Faizah Carol by Shael Dream Desert) as her sire.

Before Dana Al Jood began to reveal herself, there was Drahim Al Bahya.
Every young horse eventually carries something that belongs to the mare who raised her, not only in conformation or blood, but in the details that cannot be measured so easily. The expression, the sensibility, the way of standing, the manner in which a young horse meets the world.

For Drahim, motherhood has become an important part of her own place within the Al Jood Stud program.

Her daughter Dana is the first daughter of Drahim Al Bahya, sired by D Wannas (Fa El Rasheem × D Sayedah by Marajj, out of Ladi Veronika). Through Drahim, Dana also brings the influential presence of AJ Majdan (Vervaldee × Marhnika) and AJ Debaja (Marajj × AJ Djamilja) into the next generation.

And perhaps this is where breeding becomes most fascinating.

Dana Al Jood is beginning to develop a way of carrying herself that is entirely her own.
Not dramatic. Not hurried. Just those increasingly unmistakable details that catch your attention when you spend enough time watching a young horse grow, the particular set of the neck, the alertness behind the eye, the way she gathers herself before moving forward.
At this age, nothing is finished. And perhaps that is what makes these glimpses so intriguing.

Our 2026 born Dana Al Jood is the first daughter of Drahim Al Bahya. Dana is sired by D Wannas (Fa El Rasheem × D Sayedah by Marajj, out of Ladi Veronika). Whilst through her dam come the influential lines of AJ Majdan (Vervaldee × Marhnika) and AJ Debaja (Marajj × AJ Djamilja).

There is plenty to recognise in those names.

This is where our straight Egyptian mare Omsia Al Waab becomes particularly interesting.

Some beginnings are quiet.

They arrive on four slender legs, with curious eyes and no knowledge yet of the names written behind them.

Nawal Al Jood, born in 2026, is the first daughter we have bred from our beautiful EKS Naderina, a filly who gives this particular branch of our breeding program a new beginning.

Her sire is International Champion AJ Kafu, bringing through Shanghai EA and the remarkable AJ Kahayla. Through AJ Kahayla, the story travels further to QR Marc (Marwan Al Shaqab × Swete Dreams) and the legendary Polish Kwestura (Monogramm × Kwesta).
Then comes the maternal story.
Naderina is a daughter of Nader Al Jamal (Ansata Sinan × Savannah C by Thee Desperado) and EKS Lathina (WN Star of Antigua × Kar Hadi by El Perfecto).
And somewhere within that story is a familiar face.
Nawal is the maternal sister of our beloved EKS Naadirah, by Barjass Al Zobair.
Different generation.
Different beginning.
Same maternal thread.

For now, Nawal is simply discovering the world around her.
