Two golden retrievers, one Lisbon holiday, one very happy photographer 🤪🩷

Kiara and Kylie were down from Porto on holiday with their humans and decided to spend part of it with me, turning their Lisbon trip into something they’ll actually remember. Sweet people, incredible dogs, golden hour doing exactly what it does best (even during a cloudy day!) ✨

This is why I love dog photography so much. It’s an opportunity to connect to people that are as crazy about their dogs as I am, and it makes me feel less crazy 🤭

Photographing puppies is not for the weak!! 😭

Photographing Bun and Chiclete was an absolute pleasure - these babies are so cute I almost passed out. 😩

Not every shoot looks like this (some dogs need more space, and that’s completely fine). But these ladies? Loved every second of it.

My dogs are the best thing that ever happened to me. The second best? Getting to call dog photography my job.

Everything I do revolves around dogs, and I’ve learned so much from them. They’re truly the best creatures on this earth, and we’re so lucky to be living in it with them. Happy world dog day! ✨

Some dogs live for open fields and chasing whatever moves. Others walk into a quiet room and just… own it. Without any distractions or chaos, just them! 😎

Neither is more “photogenic” than the other. It’s just a different kind of story.

Better late than never - happy world photography day 📸

I’ve dreamt of being a photographer since I was 12.

Grateful for every person who trusted me with their moments. Grateful for every dog who ran out of frame and taught me patience. Grateful I still feel that same excitement 12-year-old me had.

Photography doesn’t stop time. It gives it somewhere to return to.

It’s a privilege to give that to people who love their dogs as much as I love mine. 🐾

My mom’s are. Different sizes. Different personalities. Different chaos levels. Same endless love.

Now mine? People ask me if they are siblings all the time. 3 hunters, 1 shepherd. Same brown and white uniform. Nature has no imagination in this house ☝🏼

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 💜

After 𝟏𝟑 𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬, even with my two keepers, this was a lot to digest with my heart and soul.

Learned so but so much with this babies, i had to grew above every single thing that i felt to keep going until the end, and i can say it was hell on earth for me for quit some time.

Managing 𝟏𝟑 𝐃𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬 are not for the faith of heart my dears, but they all made through and so did i!!

This goodbyes have been making my heart break into pieces but i am so happy with this litter, so many good funcional and good looking puppies!!

And i can say now with one first litter we have already GOLDENE BRISEN’S in 3 countries!!

𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐥 🇵🇹, 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 🇫🇷 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 🇫🇮 !! What a great thing !! 🌟🤍 Sooo proud of them!

I think about this a lot with my dogs and every time I’m behind the camera with your dogs.

We only get so many summers with them. And it’s not enough, no matter what the number is.

That’s why I do this. Not just “cute photos” - a record of them exactly as they are right now. The grey around the muzzle, the way they lean into you, the look that’s only for you.

One day, these will be the photos you go back to. So if you’ve been putting it off - this is your sign not to.
