A Lulu é uma daquelas gatas que vêm cumprimentar-te e depois te enganam para fazeres o que elas querem, quando elas querem.

- E.. os mimos?
- Pensei que nunca mais ias perguntar!

E depois ela ronrona no meu colo e voltamos a fazer tudo de novo! 😹

My sweetest Lulu, it’s always such a pleasure to spend time with you. 🥰

Lulu is one of those cats that come greet you and then they just trick you into doing whatever they want whenever they want.

- Let’s go!
- Cuddle time?
- I thought you’d never ask!

And then she purrs in my lap and then we do it all over again! 😹

Tutu, não há ninguém como tu! 🐢

A Tutu foi a primeira tartaruga de quem cuidei desde que comecei a minha aventura como cuidadora de animais de estimação. E acho que acertei em cheio! 💚

A Tutu não é o tipo de tartaruga que passa o tempo todo no seu aquário. Às vezes, ela sai e dá um passeio pela casa, descansa na torre do gato ou até interage com o Wolfi (o seu companheiro de casa). Quando volta para o aquário, gosta de petiscar os seus legumes frescos ou simplesmente relaxar. O que eu gostava mais de fazer era observá-la a abrir a sua boquinha tão grande que quase pensava que ela ia comer a courgette inteira de uma só vez (esperem só para ver)! 😄

Foi um prazer conhecer-te, Tutu! Espero voltar a ver-te um dia! 😍

Tutu, there’s no one like you! 🐢

Tutu was the first turtle I took care of since I started my pet sitting journey. And I think I hit the jackpot! 💚

Tutu is not the kind of turtle that spends the whole time in her aquarium. Sometimes she comes out and goes for walks around the house, she rests on the cat tower or even interacts with Wolfi (her flatmate). When she’s back in the aquarium, she likes to snack on her fresh vegetables or just chill around. My favorite thing to do was observing her open her tiny mouth so big that I almost thought she’ll eat the whole zucchini at once (just wait for it)! 😄

It was such a pleasure meeting you, Tutu! Hope to see you again one day! 😍

Ontem conhecemos a Júlia (à esquerda) e o Óscar (à direita)! 🩵

Se achas que eles são muito parecidos, há uma razão para isso! Na verdade, são família, mais especificamente pai e filha! 😻😻

A atividade preferida deles é correr atrás de… bolas feitas de recibos. Não é preciso gastar dinheiro em brinquedos caros, eles são fáceis de cuidar. 😸 E outra coisa que os deixa loucos é… o churu! Assim que ouvem o som de alguém a tocar na embalagem, vêm a correr de qualquer lugar da casa. 😹

Acho que temos o cenário perfeito para algumas visitas agradáveis que se avizinham! Fiquem atentos para ver como as coisas correm! ☺️

Yesterday we met Júlia (left) and Óscar (right)! 🩵

If you think they look very much alike, there’s a reason for that! They are actually family, more specifically father and daughter! 😻😻

Their favorite activity is running after… balls made out of receipts. No need to throw money on expensive toys, they are low maintenance. 😸 And another thing that throws them off their feet is… churu! When they just hear you touch the package, they come running from wherever they are in the house. 😹

I think we have the perfect scenario for some nice visits ahead! Stay tuned to see how things go! ☺️

O Wolfi foi uma bela surpresa. Um pouco tímido no início, foi ganhando confiança aos poucos até vir esfregar-se nas minhas pernas na hora da refeição e, depois, dar asas à sua criança interior enquanto saltava e corria atrás do brinquedo de que tanto gosta. 😻

Segundo os seus donos, ele até começou a demonstrar comportamentos positivos que antes não exibia perante pessoas que não conhece, e eles notaram que ele ficou mais descontraído e alegre depois de eu ter estado lá. E este é, sem dúvida, o tipo de feedback que me aquece o coração e me confirma que estou a fazer o que devo fazer. 🥰

O tempo que passámos juntos foi curto, mas valeu definitivamente a pena. Espero voltar a ver-te um dia, fofo! 🤎

Wolfi was a beautiful surprise. A bit shy at first, while slowly building his confidence to come rub against my legs when it was food time and then unleashing his inner child while jumping and running after the toy he likes so much. 😻

According to his owners, he even started showing good behaviors that he was not showing before towards people that he doesn’t know and they found him more relaxed and cheerful after I’ve been there. And this is definitely the kind of feedback that warms my heart and assures me that I’m doing what I’m meant to do 🥰

The time we spent together was short, but definitely worth. I hope to see you again someday, cutie pie! 🤎

Há um novo menino por aqui! Apresento-vos o Malu 🖤

Chamá-lo apenas de «brincalhão» seria um eufemismo. Ele corre, salta, dá cambalhotas e estica-se até apanhar o brinquedo. Claro que tem um brinquedo favorito, mas não se importa de brincar com outros. E isto só mostra o quanto ele adora brincar. 😹

Também não tem vergonha de ser acariciado, por isso acho que temos o cenário perfeito para nos tornarmos melhores amigos! 🥰

Fiquem atentos para ver como vão correr as nossas visitas! 😻

New boy in town! Meet Malu 🖤

Calling him just “playful” would be an understatement. He runs, jumps, tumbles and stretches until he catches the toy. He’s got a favorite one of course, but doesn’t mind playing with other toys. And this just shows how committed he is to playing. 😹

He’s also not shy to be petted, so I think we have the perfect scenario to become best friends! 🥰

A minha querida Daisy 🌼

Se este vídeo vos parece familiar, é porque provavelmente já me viram a fazer isto com a Daisy antes. O que começou por ser um vídeo simpático para enviar aos pais dela durante uma das visitas, rapidamente se transformou numa rotina. Se ela adora, porque não fazê-lo com mais frequência, certo? 😻

E adoro a forma como ela confia em mim para a segurar e acariciar, enquanto ela praticamente se derrete nos meus braços. 🥹

Mal posso esperar para repetir tudo isto da próxima vez! 🤎

My sweetest Daisy 🌼

If this video looks familiar, it’s because you’ve probably seen me doing this with Daisy before. What started as a nice video to do to send to her parents during one of the visits, quickly turned into a routine. If she loves it, why not do it more often, right? 😻

And I just love how she trusts me to hold her and pet her while she basically melts in my arms. 🥹

Can’t wait to do it all over again next time! 🤎

Apresento-vos a Maria Filomena, uma senhora muito meiga e tímida 😻

Ela gosta de passar o tempo no seu cantinho seguro, que, surpreendentemente, não é debaixo da cama nem num armário. É mesmo na mesinha de cabeceira, de onde pode observar tudo o que se passa à sua volta. Acho que as nossas interações nas próximas visitas serão bastante limitadas, mas não há problema nenhum. Desde que ela esteja feliz e relaxada, é isso que importa 🤎

Meet Maria Filomena, a very sweet and shy lady 😻

She likes to spend the time in her safe spot, which, surprisingly, isn’t under a bed or in a closet. It’s right on the nightstand where she can observe everything that happens around her. I think our interactions in the next visits will be quite limited, but that’s perfectly fine. As long as she is happy and relaxed, that’s everything that matters 🤎

Já sentiste a necessidade de te envolveres em tudo o que se passa à tua volta? 🫪 Se não, o Óscar não pensa da mesma forma. 😹 Sem falhar, ele estava presente sempre que eu preparava a refeição dele e da Daisy. E, por mais difícil que seja de acreditar, não era porque ele estivesse interessado na comida. Ele simplesmente queria fazer-me companhia e dar o seu toque carinhoso ao momento. 🥰

É sempre um prazer ver-te, bonitão! Até à próxima 😻

You ever feel the need to be involved in every little thing that is happening around you? 🫪 If you don’t, Óscar is not of the same opinion. 😹 Without fail, he was present every single time I was preparing his and Daisy’s meal. And, even if it’s hard to believe, it was not because he was interested in the food. He simply wanted to keep me company and to make an affectionate contribution to the moment. 🥰

O que eu mais temia acabou por acontecer… diverti-me mais com o Luno do que esperava! 🙈

Brincámos até ele ficar a respirar de boca aberta e, mesmo assim, continuava sentado na beira, pronto para recomeçar tudo de novo. 😹 Foi tão bom ver que ele estava tão envolvido e empenhado em apanhar todos os brinquedos; às vezes pensamos que brincamos com eles apenas por diversão, mas, na verdade, essa é uma das melhores formas de estimulação mental que lhes podemos proporcionar. E devemos proporcionar-lhes isso sempre que pudermos! ☺️

Depois das nossas sessões de brincadeira, ele não recusou o momento de mimos! Imagina uma bolinha a derreter-se nos teus braços enquanto o motor do ronronar está ligado… esse é o Luno! 🥰

A boa notícia é que… vou vê-lo novamente muito mais cedo do que ele imagina e podemos repetir tudo outra vez! 😻

What I was fearing, ended up happening… I enjoyed my time with Luno more than I expected! 🙈

We played until the point that he was breathing with his mouth open and even then he was sitting on the edge, ready to start it all over again. 😹 It was so good to see he was so engaged and committed to cath all toys, we sometimes think we play with them just for fun, but that’s actually one of the best mental stimulations we can give them. And we should provide that as often as we can! ☺️

After our playful sessions, he didn’t reject pampering time! Imagine a ball of full melting in your arms while the purr engine is on… that’s Luno! 🥰

The good news is…. I’ll see him again much sooner than he even thinks and we can do it all over again! 😻

Da última vez que estive com o Sugar, só tivemos umas horinhas juntos — mas, claro, aproveitámos ao máximo! 🤍

Um almoço a dois, um belo passeio e muita companhia boa. Foi pouco tempo, mas soube tão bem! ☺️
