It's Dolly! 🐶 Rescued as a newborn after being thrown in a bin in a plastic bag, this little girl has come a long way! 🥹💕 Now she loves nothing more than snuggling up in horse feed bowls for a nap! 😂 Who needs a dog bed when you're Dolly? 🛏️🐾❤️

💔 Heartbreaking News About Jessie 🐴

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our beautiful Jessie passed away peacefully this morning.

Jessie began showing signs of colic, and it appeared that her foal was trying to make an early arrival. We knew that the time had come and contacted our vet to come out.

Jessie was given a sedative and slipped away peacefully.

We had desperately hoped to give Jessie and her unborn foal a happier ending, but sadly it wasn't to be. At least in her final days, Jessie knew what it felt like to be loved, cared for, and safe.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who donated, shared her story, and sent messages of support.

❤️ An Update on Jessie ❤️

Jessie has been examined by several vets this week, and sadly, her prognosis is heartbreaking.

Her foal is approximately 200 days into gestation. If we can get her to 310 days, there may be a chance of delivering the foal by Caesarean section. Sadly, Jessie's own chances of survival are extremely slim. The damage to her abdominal wall cannot be surgically repaired.

For now, Jessie is happy, comfortable and thankfully showing no signs of pain. We're taking things one day at a time and continuing to monitor Jessie closely with our vets, whose advice has resulted in this decision.

For perhaps the first time in a very long time, she is being loved, properly fed, given fresh water and receiving the care she has always deserved and letting her enjoy whatever time she has left. ❤️

Last week, we rescued Jessie, a mare of around 15 years old who has been severely neglected.

We have honestly never seen a horse so excited simply to have access to fresh water.

We didn’t know whether Jessie would survive, but we knew that we had to help otherwise she would starve to death in the sun.

Jessie has now seen a vet and, we have discovered that she is in foal. Heartbreakingly. we have also discovered that she has a prepubic tendon rupture, a serious injury affecting the structures supporting her abdomen.

Her future — and that of her foal — is uncertain. A specialist vet will examine her on Tuesday to see what can be done.

For now, Jessie is safe, comfortable, eating and drinking. ❤️

We rarely ask for financial help, but this is not a straightforward rescue. If you would like to contribute towards Jessie’s veterinary bills and care, we would be incredibly grateful.

Last week, we rescued Jessie, a mare of around 15 years old who has been severely neglected.

It might be the end of the day to most people, but out here it's the best part of the day. 🌅**

The animals are all fed, watered, and settled in for the night. There's nothing better than knowing they're happy and cared for before the sun goes down.

As the sky puts on a show like this, it's a reminder of why we do what we do. We can head inside knowing today's work is done, and tomorrow brings another fresh start.
