We received a report from a friend of Sulala in Khan Younis about a cat in need of help. She kindly kept and fed him until our team arrived. We brought the cat to the shelter, where he is now under veterinary care and medical follow-up.

Thursday 20.8.2026
​Today at our medical point, we received 15 cats, 2 dogs, 5 ducklings, 1 rooster, and 3 chickens. Upon medical examination, the conditions were as follows:
​Conditions among the cats varied, including acute gastroenteritis, parasites, intestinal worms, severe emaciation from malnutrition, ear mites, flu-like symptoms, reduced milk production in nursing mothers, general weakness, eye and respiratory infections, and fungal infections.
​The dogs were brought in for their routine parasite treatments (internal and external). The ducklings suffered from flu-like symptoms, while the rooster and chickens had intestinal worms. Rescue cases also included a nursing puppy infested with parasites, as well as a fox.
​All cases received the proper treatment, along with medical instructions for their owners regarding care and follow-up.
​Important Note: Regarding pets brought in by their owners for treatment at our medical point, we are not responsible if they are later lost, neglected, or abandoned by their owners.

​استقبلنا اليوم في نقطتنا الطبية 15 قطة، وكلبين، و5 صيصان بط، وديك، و3 دجاجات. وبعد المعاينة الطبية تبين الآتي:
​تنوعت حالات القطط بين النزلات المعوية الحادة، والحشرات، والديدان الداخلية، والهزال الناتج عن سوء التغذية، إلى جانب عث الأذنين، والرشح، ونقص إدرار الحليب لدى الأمات، والضعف العام، والتهابات العيون والجهاز التنفسي، والإصابة بالفطريات.
​بالنسبة للكلاب، كان حضورها لإعطاء الجرعات الدورية لمكافحة الطفيليات الداخلية والخارجية. أما صيصان البط فكانت تعاني من الرشح، بينما لوحظت إصابة الديك والدجاج بالديدان. كما شملت حالات الإنقاذ جروًا رضيعًا يعاني من الحشرات، إضافة إلى ثعلب.
​قُدم العلاج المناسب لجميع الحالات مع إعطاء الإرشادات الطبية لأصحابها.

A resident from northern Gaza reached out after taking a small puppy from some children, bringing him to a vet for a checkup, and buying him a bottle and milk.
​Due to the heavy workload on our end, he kindly helped transport the puppy from the north to the Nuweiri junction. The puppy was heavily infested with parasites, so we sprayed and cleaned him, and we will place him with a nursing mother.

We received a report from a friend of our rescue in Khan Younis about six cats she had been feeding and looking after. We transferred the cats to the medical point, where those suffering from eye infections were treated, and all were then brought safely to the shelter for continued medical follow-up.

Today, we examined and cared for 30 cats and 5 dogs at the shelter. Conditions among the cats varied, including calicivirus infections, jaundice, gastroenteritis, intestinal worms, parasites, skin ringworm, mange, severe weakness, dehydration, and eye infections, alongside one case with a leg joint infection. As for the dogs, most suffered from gastroenteritis accompanied by persistent vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration, in addition to cases of parvovirus, mange, parasites, and intestinal worms. All animals are currently receiving the necessary medical treatment and care.

A friend of Sulala reached out to us to report two cats in the Nuseirat area, where he cared for them and provided food until our team arrived.

Both cats were safely transferred to the shelter and examined by the veterinarian; one was suffering from eye infections, while the other was in good health. They are now under routine veterinary care and monitoring to ensure their safety and meet all their health needs.
