17 Graduates as Palestinian Arabian Horse Authority Concludes Specialized Handlers’ Training Course
BETHLEHEM, Palestine — The Palestinian Authority for Purebred Arabian Horses has concluded a five-day specialized training course for Arabian horse handlers, graduating 17 participants from across the Palestinian governorates, as well as participants from inside the Palestinian territories.
The course, organized by the Palestinian Authority in cooperation with Nashama Arabian Horse Stud in Al-Manshiya, Bethlehem District, was designed to develop a new generation of professional handlers and equip them with the skills and techniques required to prepare and present Purebred Arabian horses at national and international beauty championships.
The intensive program combined theoretical instruction with practical training, covering key aspects of Arabian horse preparation, conditioning, handling and presentation. Participants also received hands-on training aimed at improving their ability to work with horses and prepare them for professional competition environments.
The training was conducted by internationally renowned French trainer Scott Allman, who shared his experience and technical expertise with the participants throughout the five-day program.
The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Mahmoud Jabara, Vice President of the Palestinian Authority for Purebred Arabian Horses, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Sharif, Mr. Imran Jerdat, a member of the local council of Al-Manshiya, and a number of members of the Palestinian Authority.
Also attending were Abdul Mahdi Marqa, President of Hebron Equestrian Club, along with prominent figures, social media activists, Arabian horse breeders and enthusiasts.
Officials said the course represents part of the Authority’s broader efforts to strengthen the Purebred Arabian horse sector in Palestine, develop qualified technical personnel, support breeders and handlers, and introduce international expertise and professional standards to the Palestinian Arabian horse community.
The initiative also reflects the Authority’s commitment to expanding educational and professional opportunities for young handlers and building local expertise capable of representing Palestine at regional and international Arabian horse competitions.
The Palestinian Authority extended its appreciation to all participants, breeders and supporters who contributed to the success of the course, and expressed particular thanks to Nashama Arabian Horse Stud for hosting and supporting the theoretical and practical training sessions.
The course was translated throughout the five days by Mr. Ashraf Rabie, Director of International Relations at the Palestinian Authority for Purebred Arabian Horses, ensuring effective communication between the international trainer and the participating handlers and contributing to the successful implementation of the program.
