🐅 “If not friend, why friend shaped?”. Uwaga, te zdjęcia mogą uśpić czujność.
Gęste futro, piękne oczy, łapy jak poduszki. Patrząc na takie kadry łatwo zapomnieć, kogo właściwie mamy przed sobą.
Tygrys azjatycki to jeden z największych drapieżników świata.
Zachwyt przy obserwacji - wskazany.
Szacunek - jak wyżej.
🇬🇧 🐅 If not friend, why friend shaped? Careful, these photos can lull you into a false sense of security.
Thick fur, beautiful eyes, paws like cushions. Looking at shots like these, it is easy to forget what we are actually dealing with.
The tiger is one of the largest predators in the world. An adult can kill an animal heavier than itself, and a human being, an animal species too after all, is a looooot smaller than a tiger. Where we share the same space with tigers, in the Sundarbans in India for example, people still fall victim to them today.
We are not trying to scare anyone, just to remind you: a tiger is neither a villain nor a big fluffy cat to cuddle. It is a wild member of the order Carnivora and has to live on animal protein. Its physiology and digestive system simply do not allow it to eat carrots. That is why working with tigers follows strict procedures, and our keepers never share the same space with them. Respect guarantees safety. 🐾
Admiring them while watching: highly recommended.
Respect: likewise.
