Back to work… and back to puppy plans 🤎🤍
After a little summer pause, we are coming back to our rhythm and it looks like autumn will be a very special time at Amber Labradoodles.

We are now waiting for Malta & Lukas puppies, expected at the beginning of October.

This litter should bring beautiful chocolate and cream Australian Labradoodle puppies in the large mini / small medium size, around 10–13 kg as adults.

Puppies will be ready to join their new families around mid December just in time for a calm, cosy winter beginning together.

We still have the last places available on the waiting list for this litter.
And this is not the only autumn news…

Our next girls in miniature and larger medium sizes have also come into heat, but I’ll share more about those plans in a separate post.

For now, we are keeping our fingers crossed for Malta and Lukas 🤎

A little puppy hidden in the garden…
and a small note from me. 🌿🐾
I know I’ve been posting less lately.
There are some family things happening in the background, and I’m giving more of my energy to what needs me most right now.

The dogs are well.
The puppies are growing, exploring, learning, getting muddy, discovering leaves, stones, shadows and tiny secret places like this one.
I’m still here just a little quieter.

Thank you for your patience, messages and understanding.

Sometimes life asks us to slow down, even when Instagram would prefer we keep showing up every day.
And maybe that’s not a bad thing. 🤍

Right now we’re in that intense, beautiful stage: puppy socialisation. 🐾✨
This is when a puppy’s world begins to expand , not with “more stimulation”, but with the right experiences, in the right dose, so confidence grows without overwhelm.
One important part of our programme is welcoming different visitors of different ages.
Children, adults, different voices, scents, movements, so the puppies learn that people are safe, predictable, and worth approaching… and then returning to calm.
And this is also why our puppies stay with us until at least 10 weeks of age.
Those early weeks are a foundation you can’t “catch up on” later.
Small steps. Lifelong impact. 🤍🐾

What responsible breeding actually looks like (the dog part) 🐾

A responsible breeding programme isn’t a pretty photo and a nice name.
It’s the quiet work you don’t see.
The kind that shapes a dog for the rest of their life.

For me, responsibility towards the dog means:

• comprehensive health testing and ongoing veterinary oversight
• thoughtful selection of parents based on health, temperament, and lineage
• gentle early neurological + sensory stimulation in the first weeks
• structured, age-appropriate exposure to real home life
• continuous observation of temperament and individual development
• raising puppies close to people, not in isolation

And here’s what makes my programme different (the parts families usually don’t realise matter… until they do):

• I’m not “just a breeder”, I’m also a dog trainer/instructor, so I raise puppies with the end goal in mind: a dog who can live calmly with humans
• I’m a graduate of medical biotechnology, I understand genetics, inheritance, and why “health testing” is not a checkbox, but a strategy
• The first ~3 weeks are protected and quiet (not a carousel of visitors). Safety first, stimulation later, in the right dose
• Each puppy gets an individual socialisation plan, based on who they are, not one script for the whole litter
• We build real-life resilience early: handling, vet-style touch, car rides, harness/collar/lead foundations, gentle novelty
• Health starts in the bowl: minimally processed food for mum and puppies, plus gut support (microbiome matters)
• We do temperament testing and matching. Not “first come, first served.” Not “pick by colour.” We match for the best life

This is the breeder’s responsibility towards the dog.
Not for a week. Not until pick-up day.
But as a long-term process built on knowledge, experience, and consistency.

And even though much of it stays unseen…
it’s exactly what makes life easier for the dog later. And for you.

Week 5 is here… and the calm newborn bubble is officially over. 😄🐾
They’re suddenly active, playful, and full of opinions.
Little chase games, tiny growls, pouncing, wrestling — and then… straight back to a puppy pile nap.

And a big milestone: they’ve started eating their first mash meat meals.
Less milk, more curiosity. More independence. More “I can do it myself.”
This is the week where their personalities begin to show — not just who’s brave, but who’s thoughtful, who’s silly, who’s calm.
