Giardiasis in Avian

Newcastle Disease (ND) is a highly contagious viral disease of poultry caused by Newcastle disease virus (NDV), an avian paramyxovirus. It mainly affects chickens and other birds, causing respiratory distress, depression, diarrhea, nervous signs, reduced egg production, and sometimes sudden death. The disease spreads through infected birds, f***s, respiratory secretions, contaminated feed, water, equipment, and clothing. Vaccination, strict biosecurity, proper sanitation, and isolation of infected birds are the main methods of prevention and control.
