As the temperatures soar, it’s crucial to keep an eye out for stray animals that may be struggling with heatstroke 🌑️. This condition can be life-threatening if not addressed promptly. Watch out for symptoms like excessive panting, drooling or foaming, lethargy or collapse, rapid heartbeat, seizures or vomiting πŸ•.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s essential to act fast! ⏱️ Provide shade to protect them from direct sunlight, offer fresh water to keep them hydrated, and seek veterinary care as soon as possible 🌞. Every minute counts when it comes to treating heatstroke.

Meet Yulia, the mesmerizing yellow-eyed beauty of "The Cats of DCOB!"
Yulia was rescued in July 2024 after tragically losing her sister in a dog attack. Left alone, she was initially cared for by a guard, but it became difficult for him to look after her. She was then brought to our department, where she quickly won everyone's hearts with her big yellow eyes. Now, she thrives in a loving environment, playing with her fellow cats and enjoying a comfortable life. 🐾❀️
