The puppies have all been placed in new homes for over two months now. I'm very thankful that they have wonderful furparents who adore them.

(Originally, I wanted to show their furparents' loving faces, but I ultimately changed my mind to cover them to protect their privacy and to prevent them from feeling uncomfortable about this post.)

Another patient with BLOOD PARASITISM.

Kobe was brought to clinic due to profuse nosebleeding.

Several tests were conducted to rule out what was causing it and to check the severity of the problem. He tested positive to Anaplasma, Babesia and Ehrlichia.

Blood parasites are transmitted thru infected ticks or garapata.

Severe cases of blood parasite infection require blood transfusion due to severe anemia and very low platelet count.

Medication was given and he responded well to it.

‼️PREVENTION OF TICKS IS PREVENTION OF BLOOD PARASITES‼️

Our dogs should receive regular and routine anti-tick and flea treatment and prevention.

Ask your vet about it.
