QUEENIE’S JOURNEY:
Queenie, an 8-year-old intact female mixed-breed dog, was brought to Pet House Veterinary Clinic after experiencing inappetence and difficulty urinating and defecating.
After a thorough examination and diagnostic workup, Queenie was diagnosed with pyometra, a potentially life-threatening uterine infection. She was also positive for blood parasitism, making her condition even more challenging. Because of the severity of her condition, immediate surgical intervention was necessary.
Queenie underwent an ovariohysterectomy (OHE) to remove the infected uterus. She remained confined at Pet House Veterinary Clinic for one week, receiving close monitoring, supportive care, and postoperative treatment.
After a week of hospitalization, Queenie was finally stable enough to go home and continue her recovery with her family.
And two months after surgery, we received the news we were hoping for:
✨ Queenie was doing well! ✨
From being seriously ill to getting a second chance at a healthier life, Queenie’s journey reminds us that early diagnosis and timely veterinary intervention can save lives. We are grateful to have been part of Queenie’s journey from illness, to surgery, to recovery.🐶💙
One patient. One fight. One more chance.
