❌DO NOT TIE OR BAND THEIR TESTICLES.

Please do NOT attempt to castrate your dog using rubber bands, garters, or strings.
Elastration may look like a quick or cheap solution, but in dogs, improper application can result in severe pain, tissue death (necrosis), infection, excessive swelling, and serious complications.

For responsible and humane neutering, consult a licensed veterinarian and have your dog properly assessed before the procedure.

OVARIOHYSTERECTOMY in a Case of Pyometra in an Unspayed Poodle

Pyometra is a serious, potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that commonly occurs in unspayed female dogs, usually after a heat cycle. The uterus becomes filled with infected fluid or pus and can progress to sepsis, uterine rupture, and death if left untreated.

The standard and definitive treatment is an ovariohysterectomy (spay surgery), removing the infected uterus and ovaries.

🚨 Important reminder to furparents‼️
Pyometra is an EMERGENCY!
If your female dog is showing signs such as vaginal discharge, lethargy, vomiting, increased drinking/urination, or abdominal enlargement—especially within several weeks after heat—she should be evaluated by a veterinarian promptly.😉

Please avoid giving your dogs cooked chicken bones. 🦴❌
Cooked chicken bones can easily splinter into sharp pieces when chewed, which may become lodged in the mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, or intestines. This can lead to a Foreign Body Obstruction (FBO)—a serious and potentially life-threatening emergency that may require surgery.

Prevention is always better than treatment:
✔️ Never feed your dogs with chicken bones.
✔️ Dispose of leftovers securely.
✔️ Offer only veterinarian-approved chews and treats.
