Another Successful Caesarean Surgery 🐶✨

Pinky, a brave mama dog, was brought to our clinic about four hours after giving birth to her first puppy at home. Unfortunately, the puppy had been manually pulled out and was already deceased when presented.

When they arrived, mama dog was already exhausted, weak, and unable to continue labor. Due to the prolonged labor and the dam's exhaustion, an Emergency C-Section was recommended and performed right away.

Thankfully, the remaining puppy was successfully delivered, and Pinky is now at home, recovering while caring for her adorable little one!

Indeed, life is precious, and we are grateful to be instruments of healing and new beginnings. To the furparents, thank you for putting your trust in our team during this very special and critical moment. 💚🐾

🦷 Canine Dental Prophylaxis 🦷

Did you know? by age three, more than 80% of dogs and cats show signs of periodontal disease. ‼️

Pets with advanced dental disease may develop abscesses, difficulty eating, and chronic pain, often without obvious symptoms at home. Plaque and tartar buildup can cause bad breath, painful gum inflammation, tooth loss, and even infections that can harm the heart, liver, and kidneys.

Regular dental prophylaxis prevents these complications and keeps your pet comfortable and healthy.

✨Benefits:
• Freshens breath
• Prevents Gum Disease
• Prevents Tooth Loss
• Reduces pain and infection
• Protects vital organs
• Improves appetite and quality of life

✨When should your dog have it?
• Once a year (or as advised by your veterinarian)
• If you notice bad breath, swollen gums, or difficulty eating.

A healthy mouth means a happier, healthier life for your pet! 🐶🐱
Prevention is always better than cure. 💚

These are all bladder stones extracted from a brave 5-year-old female dog via a cystotomy.

Bella came to our clinic with symptoms of urinary discomfort. After a thorough physical exam and diagnostic imaging, she was diagnosed with urinary bladder stones (urolithiasis).

We preformed surgery to remove several stones from the bladder and urethra. The surgery was a success, and the stones were completely removed. Bella recovered well from her surgery and is now doing well at home.

Urinary bladder stones can cause pain, recurring urinary tract infections, and even fatal urinary obstruction if left untreated. Early detection of symptoms—such as frequent urination, straining, blood in the urine, or difficulty passing urine—and prompt veterinary care are critical for a positive outcome.

Thank you to Bella's family for trusting us with her care. 💚🐾

Our brave furry friend fought hard and survived a long and difficult battle against FPV and FCV!

Minnie was admitted to our clinic with a serious and life-threatening illness. After thorough laboratory testing, she was confirmed to have Feline Panleukopenia Virus and Feline Coronavirus.

FPV and FCV are serious viral diseases that can weaken a kitten's immune system and become life-threatening; one infected cat can spread the disease to all other cats in the household. Unfortunately, this disease is one of the most fatal viral infections in cats, necessitating aggressive treatment and intensive care.

With professional veterinary care, dedication, and their own incredible perseverance, Minnie made it through. After more than a week of intensive care, she is now finally home and recovering. 🐾❤️‍🩹

Thank you for always trusting us with your pet’s health!

Due to a severe infection, maggots developed in the dog's wound.

Myiasis typically developed when flies lay their eggs in open or infected wounds. When these eggs hatch into larvae or maggots, the maggots feed on the affected tissues, causing extensive and sometimes fatal damage.

This is a very cruel condition as the maggots are eating the dog alive, causing a lot of suffering and pain. The maggots secrete enzymes that necrotize the healthy skin, resulting in a foul/decaying odor.

Here are some tips for preventing myiasis:

1. Proper hygiene. Flies are not attracted to a clean and odor-free pet or environment.
2. Wounds should be treated promptly and kept clean and dry.
3. Avoid fly-infested areas, and keep pets indoors.
4. The use of fly traps and repellents.
