AIKO returns home after overcoming a challenging foreign body obstruction.

Referred by Cabadbaran Animal Hospital from Tubay, Agusan del Norte, AIKO arrived for advanced endoscopic management of a suspected esophageal foreign body. Endoscopy confirmed a large, sharp cooked pork bone lodged at the esophageal sphincter. Because endoscopic retrieval was unsafe, the bone was carefully advanced into the stomach, followed by a gastrotomy for safe removal.

The surgery was successful, and AIKO recovered remarkably well, allowing discharge just 48 hours after surgery.
