⛈️🐾 July is Pet Thunderstorm Anxiety Awareness Month! 🐾⛈️

For many dogs and cats, thunderstorms are more than just bad weather—they can be a frightening experience. Loud thunder, bright flashes of lightning, and changes in air pressure can trigger fear, stress, and anxiety.

Common signs of thunderstorm anxiety include:
⚡ Trembling or shaking
⚡ Excessive panting or pacing
⚡ Hiding or trying to escape
⚡ Excessive barking, meowing, or whining
⚡ Loss of appetite
⚡ Accidents inside the house

You can help your pet feel safe by creating a quiet, secure space, closing windows and curtains, playing calming music, and offering reassurance. Never punish your pet for being afraid—they need your patience, comfort, and understanding.

If your pet experiences severe or frequent anxiety during storms, consult your veterinarian. There are safe and effective options that can help your furry companion feel more comfortable.

This rainy season, let’s help our pets weather every storm with love and care.

Because they’re not just pets—they’re family. ❤️🐶🐱

FROM BLOCKED TO RECOVERING: MAX’S URETHROSTOMY SUCCESS STORY

Max was brought to our clinic after experiencing difficulty urinating. Radiographic examination revealed a urethral urolith (urinary stone) causing obstruction of the urethra, making it impossible for him to pass urine normally.

To relieve the obstruction and reduce the risk of future urinary blockage, urethrostomy surgery was successfully performed. The obstructing stones were removed, and Max is now on his road to recovery.

Urinary obstruction is a medical emergency. If your pet shows any of the following signs:
• Straining to urinate
• Passing only a few drops of urine
• Blood in the urine
• Frequent attempts to urinate
• Crying or showing signs of pain while urinating

Seek veterinary attention immediately. Early diagnosis and treatment can save your pet’s life.

Thank you for trusting Qualivets Veterinary Clinic Silang with Max’s care. We wish him a smooth and complete recovery!

🐾💙 July is Lost Pet Prevention Month! 💙🐾

Losing a beloved pet is every pet owner’s worst nightmare—but with a few simple precautions, you can greatly reduce the risk of your furry companion going missing.

Make sure your pet always wears a collar with an updated ID tag, consider microchipping for permanent identification, and regularly check that your gates, fences, and doors are secure. If your pet spends time outdoors, always supervise them and keep your contact information current.

If your pet ever goes missing, act quickly. Search your neighborhood, notify nearby veterinary clinics and animal shelters, and share clear photos and information on social media and community lost-and-found pages.

A little preparation today can make all the difference tomorrow.

Let’s work together this Lost Pet Prevention Month to keep every pet safe, protected, and where they belong—at home with the families who love them.

Because they’re not just pets—they’re family. ❤️🐶🐱
