Philippine Airlines has expanded its FurPAL program to all domestic routes, allowing passengers to travel with their small dogs inside the aircraft cabin instead of transporting them as checked cargo.
Originally introduced in November 2025, the program is now available on every local flight. This means pet owners can keep their dogs with them in the cabin when flying to destinations such as Boracay, Davao, Bacolod, and other domestic locations.
Under FurPAL guidelines, passengers may bring one small dog weighing up to 10 kg. The dog must be at least eight weeks old, fully weaned, and placed in a soft-sided, leak-resistant carrier with proper ventilation and absorbent lining. The carrier must remain under the seat in front of the passenger throughout the flight. Each flight can accommodate up to three small dogs in the cabin.
To meet safety and regulatory requirements, owners must provide valid health documentation, including vaccination records, a veterinary health certificate, a signed airline waiver and declaration form, and an approved shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Sedation is not allowed, and the airline uses advanced HEPA filtration and strict cleaning procedures to maintain cabin air quality.
The FurPAL service is available for an additional fee of ₱2,500 per one-way flight. Passengers can add this option during booking by selecting FurPAL through the airline’s Travel Boost add-ons section.
