NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC โ ๏ธ
TO ALL:
We have noticed a heartbreaking increase in the number of animals being left behind, tied up, or boxed outside our clinic premises after hours. While we understand that financial difficulties, health issues, or unexpected life changes can make pet ownership challenging, abandoning your animal at our doorstep is not the solution and it is illegal.
As a veterinary clinic, our space, resources, and staff are fully dedicated to treating sick and injured patients. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, and we cannot absorb the care of abandoned animals.
We wish to remind everyone that animal abandonment is a criminal offense. Section 7 of Republic Act No. 8485, otherwise known as the Animal Welfare Act of the Philippines, as amended, provides that:
"It shall be unlawful for any person who has custody of an animal to abandon the animal. If any person being the owner or having charge or control of any animal shall without reasonable cause or excuse abandon it, whether permanently or not, without providing for the care of that animal, such person shall be guilty of an offense under this Act."
If you can no longer care for your pet, please choose the responsible and humane route:
Reach out to animal welfare groups (such as PAWS, CARA Welfare Philippines, or local community shelters) to ask for rehoming assistance.
Seek help from family or friends who might be willing to take your pet in. Talk to us during clinic hours. While we cannot take your pet in, we can provide guidance on rehoming networks or direct you to organizations that can help.
Our pets depend on us entirely for their survival. Leaving them exposed to the elements, traffic, and fear is an act of cruelty.
PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING.
