SECURITY GUARD CONVICTED FOR SHOOTING AND KILLING A STRAY DOG

Reynaldo Panao, the security guard who confessed to shooting and killing a stray dog called Janjan on the March 14 episode of Wanted sa Radyo with Senator Raffy Tulfo, has been found GUILTY and fined P10,000 by the Municipal Trial Court of Kawit, Cavite.

Throughout the legal proceedings, PAWS stood by Chailyn, the complainant and witness who filed the case. Chailyn, a member of their local community, was one of those who shared her kindness and care for Janjan, a sweet and gentle stray who had captured the hearts of those around him.

Heartbroken by Janjan’s tragic death, Chailyn recognized that the stray dog was simply a soul in need of compassion and did not deserve the cruelty he faced. Despite not being Janjan’s owner, Chailyn took it upon herself to seek justice for him, filing charges against Reynaldo Panao for his brutal crime of shooting and killing the poor, defenseless stray dog. Now, with Panao’s conviction, Chailyn’s unwavering commitment to Janjan’s cause has been met with justice.
