REST EASY, CHUTOU 🥲

Chutou, a border collie who gained fame in China as a social media star, has passed away after being stolen from his owner and slaughtered for a restaurant dish. Chutou's owner, Guo, was away on a solo trip and left the dog with his parents. Guo's father discovered Chutou was nowhere to be found in the family's fields. Upon checking surveillance footage, it was discovered that two strangers abducted the poor dog and took off with him on an electric bike. Guo cut his trip short, desperate to find his dog. He managed to trace the alleged dognapper and confronted him, only to sadly discover his companion had been sold off to a dog meat restaurant for a measly ₱1.6k (180 yuan). Unfortunately, by the time he made it to the restaurant, Chutou was no more. Guo is now searching for legal options.
