Our house blessing looked a little different from the usual as we chose to keep it intimate, just the three of us 🤍
Here’s why:
1. We wanted to do it as soon as possible.
Ideally, within two weeks of moving in, instead of waiting until everything was settled.
2. We didn’t want the pressure of hosting.
Planning for guests, preparing the house, and organizing everything would make it feel more like an event than a moment to simply be present in.
3. We wanted to bless the home as it was.
It didn’t have to be perfectly furnished, organized, or guest-ready. We wanted to start this chapter right where we were.
4. We value solemn and intimate celebrations.
We genuinely love celebrating meaningful moments quietly, within our little family.
5. We wanted the focus to be on our home and our family.
To simply pray over the space where we’ll live, grow, rest, and make memories together.
And just to be clear, this isn’t us saying this is the “right” way to have a house blessing. Everything I share is simply something we personally chose and what felt right for our family. If it resonates with you, take inspiration from it but there’s no need to do it the way we did.
