As veterinarians, it breaks our hearts to see this kind of news. Every day, we see dogs that are so loyal and only know how to love their owners, so it is deeply disheartening to think that innocent animals are harmed over something so preventable.
We must remember that chewing on things is normal dog behavior, especially when they are playing, have pent-up energy, or are teething. It is our responsibility as pet parents and caretakers to guide them properly, not through anger or violence. They have no clue what an expensive slipper is or how much material things cost.
Animal abuse is never right!
We hope justice will be served for this poor dog.
