Time is critical. The longer the eye remains outside the socket, the lower the chances of preserving visionβ€”or even saving the eye itself.

If your dog experiences this injury:
β€’ Stay calm.
β€’ Prevent further trauma by avoiding pressure on the eye.

This isn't something we see every day, but when we do, it's important to act quickly.

Paraphimosis happens when a dog's p***s gets stuck outside the sheath and can't go back in on its own. The longer it's exposed, the more it dries out and swells, making it even harder to retract. If left untreated, it can become a serious emergency.

The good news? Blake responded well to treatment and is now doing much better. πŸ₯Ή

As pet owners, it's normal not to check this area often, so this condition can easily go unnoticed. If you ever notice that your dog's p***s has been exposed for a while, especially if he's constantly licking the area, seems uncomfortable, or has trouble urinating, it's best to have him checked by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Not every emergency is loud or obvious. Sometimes it's the small things that need prompt attention.

Kahit mahal na mahal mo ang pet mo, any animal bite should be taken seriously.

🐾 Kapag nakagat ka:
βœ… Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at dumadaloy na tubig sa loob ng 15 minuto.
βœ… Lagyan ng antiseptic kung meron.
βœ… Pumunta agad sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Treatment Center o ospital para ma-assess kung kailangan ng anti-rabies vaccine at iba pang treatment.
βœ… Huwag basta isipin na "alaga ko naman yan" o "nakakulong naman siya."

🐢 Ano ang dapat gawin sa pet?
β€’ Huwag ipamigay, ibenta, o ipa-euthanize.
β€’ I-observe ang a*o o pusa sa loob ng 14 days at ipaalam sa inyong beterinaryo kung may pagbabago sa kalusugan o ugali.
