✨ From 4.25kg to 3.15kg of TBW, almost 1.1 ml of fluid was removed from the abdomen. 💧

This is Steph, a 10-year-old Persian cat with massive ascites. There is marked fluid buildup in her abdomen that has made her daily routine a struggle because of the extra heavy weight she is enduring.

After draining the abdominal fluid, a total of 1.1 liters of fluid was removed.

Steph also tested positive for FIP “wet form”. She had a good appetite and was not lethargic, so it was decided to send her home with all the medications given.

She will come back again after 2 weeks for a follow-up checkup. 🐈‍⬛ 🐾 ❤️

A 13-year-old dog patient came in with a complaint of vomiting but with appetite and no concerns of lethargy. After a thorough physical assessment, jaundice or yellow discoloration of the gums, skin, and eyes was noticed.

This photo shows his blood sample with a noticeable yellow-colored serum, which usually coincides with icteric patients.

Tentative diagnosis are Hepatitis and Leptospirosis. Canine Hepatitis and Lepto Rapid Test were declined due to the financial incapacity of the client.

The patient was sent home and given home medications and was advised on strict diet, monitoring and strict sanitation.

REMINDER: Prompt veterinary care is crucial for patients even with one symptom. We never know what is happening within their bodies because pets can’t express their pain unless we are always there observing them during their day-to-day activities. Also, senior dogs will come to a point where their bodies and immune systems start to weaken due to old age; thus, an annual vet check-up is always necessary for them. 🐶 🩺

Bella, a 7-year-old Shih Tzu, underwent the removal of uroliths via cystotomy after experiencing difficulty in urination with bloody urine.

Bella is recovering well and was advised to stay hydrated while on a strict dietary care. Good job Bella! 🐾 🐶 💖

Butingting was our patient since she was an adorable puppy. Vaccination and deworming were gladly completed, but unfortunately, tick and flea prevention was neglected.

Ticks can be hidden behind thick fur and can severely carry deadly diseases called Canine Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis, and Anaplasmosis, a.k.a. Blood Parasites. 🩸

Ticks are not just ticks. One or more ticks can carry a bacteria that enter the bloodstream of your dog and cause mild to severe disease and sometimes death.

That’s why early prevention is always better than cure. Secure your dog’s monthly tick and flea treatment and vaccinations before it’s too late.

Late night and early morning CS. ✨

First-time mom, Keixa (FB), and Snow (Siamese x Persian) successfully underwent an emergency C-section. 🐶 🐱

Keixa delivered 5 healthy puppies. On the other hand, Snow delivered 3 healthy kittens. One kitten was born via normal delivery but was unfortunately dead upon arrival, and 4 kittens were delivered through cesarean, but 1 kitten was also dead. Snow was spayed afterward.

The two consecutive sleepless nights were very worth it because we delivered healthy and adorable pups and kittens. To God be the glory! 🙏🏻❤️

An emergency C-section was successfully performed on a 1-year-old Chihuahua due to prolonged labor lasting 24 hours.

One puppy was unfortunately dead upon normal delivery, and the remaining puppy inside the womb was already mummified.

Mommy dog "Lira" was fully recovered after a day of confinement and monitoring. 🐶❤️

Cats and dogs have plastic surgery too! 🤭

HOTZ-CELSUS PROCEDURE was successfully done as a permanent plastic surgery in an adult cat to correct entropion. In humans, this procedure is similar to Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty. ✨ ✨ 🐾

Entropion is an eye condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing hair and lashes to rub against the cornea.

It leads to pain, tearing, and potential corneal ulcers. It is common in dogs and less frequent in cats.

In cats, it is less common, but seen in brachycephalic breeds like Persians or as a secondary issue from chronic infections like feline herpesvirus.

Older pets can also develop it due to loss of fat and muscle tone around the eye.

Signs and Symptoms of Entropion:

- Excessive tearing or wet fur around the eye.
- Squinting, blinking, or holding the eye shut.
- Redness, swelling, and mucus or pus discharge.
- Rubbing or pawing at the face.
- Cloudy, blue, or scarred cornea from chronic friction
