To the tiny bear who lived in my room and will now live forever in my heart — the second piggy I ever got, Latte’s forever partner, and one of the friendliest souls I’ve ever known. 🤍
Caramel passed away on March 19 while we were asleep, just a day after his neuter. What felt like a normal day turned into a nightmare I never expected. When I got up that morning, I prepared his medicine syringe and noticed he wasn’t moving. ❤️🩹 It was sudden and completely unexpected, and we’re still trying to process everything.
He was supposed to be reunited with Latte after healing, and we were so close to giving him that companionship again. Losing him this way has been truly heartbreaking. 🥹
His space feels different now. The male piggies’ cage is empty and bare, and it feels so quiet in a way that’s hard to explain.
Thank you to everyone who supported Caramel and helped us through his journey. Your kindness meant so much to us, and to him. 🥹
For now, we’re taking our time to grieve and process everything. Thank you for understanding. 🤍🐹

I always thought of Caramel as my little Totoro. He even reminds me of this song. Maybe it’s because he was the biggest piggy I’ve ever had, but mostly because he was one of the gentlest and friendliest.
