🌧️ RAINY SEASON PET CARE:
Is your fur baby ready for the wet weather? 🐶🐱⚡
When the storms roll in, our four-legged family members face more than just dirty paws! From hidden bacteria in puddles to scary thunder, here is your Rainy Season Safety Checklist to keep your pets healthy and cozy:
🩺 1. Keep Vaccines Up-to-Date
Heavy rains wash bacteria into standing water. Ask your vet about essential wet-weather vaccinations—especially the Leptospirosis vaccine for dogs!
🐾 2. Dry Those Paws & Fur
Damp coats and muddy paws are breeding grounds for fungal and bacterial skin infections. Always wipe down your pet's paws, underbelly, and ears after an outdoor potty break.
🚫 3. Skip the Puddle Splash
Avoid letting your dogs drink or wade through stagnant rainwater, storm drains, or flooded grass where parasites and bacteria hide.
🕷️ 4. Don't Skip Flea & Tick Prevention
Humidity makes fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes thrive! Mosquitoes carry heartworm, so stay consistent with their preventive treatments year-round.
⚡ 5. Create a Thunder Safety Zone
Storm anxiety is real! If your pet gets scared by thunder:
Bring them inside to a quiet room.
Close the curtains to block lightning flashes.
Turn on TV or white noise to muffle thunder sounds.
Give them a safe space (like a covered crate or bed with a warm blanket).
