The good news? Prevention is simple—regular brushing!
Brushing your pet regularly helps prevent matting, keeps the coat healthy, and can save them from having to be shaved completely.
At Furrfect Style Pet Grooming, we always try our best to save as much coat as we safely can. We don’t shave just because it’s easier. If there are areas that can still be saved, we carefully preserve them—especially the head and face when the condition of the coat allows it.
However, when the body is severely matted and the mats are too tight or close to the skin, shaving may be the only safe and humane option.
