Emergency Cesarean Section Case 🩺🐶

Molly was brought to our clinic for radiographic examination after giving birth to 3 puppies two days ago and another puppy today, which unfortunately did not survive. The owner became concerned because her abdomen remained noticeably enlarged despite the deliveries.

Our X-ray revealed that two puppies were still retained inside the uterus, requiring immediate intervention. Due to the risk of complications for both mother and remaining puppies, Molly underwent an emergency Cesarean section (C-section).

This case highlights the importance of seeking veterinary attention when a mother dog continues to have a swollen abdomen, experiences prolonged labor, or shows signs of difficulty after giving birth. Early diagnosis through radiography can be lifesaving.

We wish Molly a smooth recovery and thank her owner for acting promptly. ❤️

Pyometra Case Update: A Brave Fighter’s Journey 🏥💛

This brave girl underwent an emergency pyospay surgery due to a severe case of pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection.

Her condition remains critical as she is also battling sepsis, with her kidneys and liver affected, and she is currently icteric (jaundiced). Despite these challenges, we are seeing small but encouraging signs in her recovery. 💪

She has already started drinking water on her own and eat (soft diet) which is a positive step forward. She continues to require intensive monitoring, supportive care, and medical management.

Recovery from severe pyometra and sepsis can be a long and delicate process, but we remain hopeful and committed to providing her with the best possible care every step of the way. ❤️

Please join us in wishing this brave warrior strength and a full recovery. Every small improvement is a victory worth celebrating. 🐾💛

Emergency C-Section Case🐾

Molly was rushed to the clinic after the owner noticed dark vaginal discharge and a mummified fetus delivered at home. She arrived weak and in distress.

Radiograph confirmed multiple puppies still inside the uterus, while ultrasound showed some with detectable heartbeats, prompting an immediate emergency C-section.

Out of 8 puppies, 4 were successfully saved, though 1 was already mummified and the rest did not survived.

A reminder that timely veterinary care can make the difference between life and loss. ❤️🐶

Early morning Cesarean Section❤️🐶

Miska, a 54 kg Great Dane, was brought to the clinic yesterday afternoon recumbent and very weak. Our team immediately stabilized her condition and performed diagnostic tests including CBC and reverse progesterone (P4) to determine if she was already in active labor.

The progesterone result confirmed she was in Stage 1 labor. Around 7:00 PM, the first puppy was delivered, and by 1:00 AM Miska had successfully delivered four puppies.

However, after several hours, Miska became exhausted and no longer had enough strength to push the remaining pups. When green discharge was observed—an indication of fetal distress—we immediately informed the owner and proceeded with an emergency cesarean section.

Outcome:
• Total puppies: 12
• 11 puppies alive and healthy
• 1 puppy was very weak and unfortunately did not make it

Despite the difficult labor, Miska and her 11 surviving puppies are now doing well. A big thanks to the owner for the trust and quick decision-making that helped save the rest of the litter.

🐶Another reminder that timely veterinary care and close monitoring during labor can make a life-saving difference.

🚨Toad Poisoning🚨

Last night we handled an emergency case of toad poisoning. Upon arrival, the patient was already showing severe tremors, arrhythmia, hyperthermia, and body stiffness—all signs that required immediate intervention.

Our team quickly initiated IV fluid infusion, started cooling measures, and administered emergency medications to stabilize the patient and control the abnormal breathing. Thankfully, the patient responded well to treatment and we were able to manage the clinical signs.

This morning, we were very happy to see a big improvement—she was already eating and drinking water on her own. She was discharged today with her medications, and the owner was advised to closely monitor her condition at home.

Cases like this remind us how critical early intervention is during poisoning emergencies. We are grateful for the positive outcome and thankful to the owner for bringing him in immediately.

Camacho Veterinary Clinic Joins Nationwide Rabies Vaccination Drive!

In support of the nationwide campaign for a Rabies-Free Philippines, in partnership with BAI, PVMA, PVO Iloilo We will participate in the Nationwide Rabies Vaccination Day on March 11, 2026.

We will cater the first 20 dogs/cats in Passi branch & 20 dogs/cats in calinog branch.

📌 Requirements:
• 3 months old and above
• Clinically healthy (no signs of illness)
• Not pregnant
• Not currently under any medication

This initiative aims to help protect our community and our beloved pets from rabies, a deadly but preventable disease.
