The FURPAWS Driven Life
STRAY LOVE PH·WEDNESDAY, JULY 29, 2020·

Stray Love Ph is an active animal rescue org that was put up primarily to save the lives of stray dogs and cats that are classified “emergencies” and languish in the streets of Metro Manila and the nearby provinces within the Calabarzon and Central Luzon Regions. The org also dedicates its time to rescuing and easing the plight of an

imals that are sick, maimed, neglected, abandoned and abused. Stray Love Ph has been instrumental in saving hundreds of dog and cat lives from being euthanized at the City Pounds of Zamboanga and Metro Manila! The org has also managed to rescue several illegally detained Macaques in Mandaluyong, Batangas and Clark with the help of the DENR rescue team! In the aftermath of the deadly Taal Volcano eruption last January, Stray Love Ph managed to rescue several horses who were about to be sold by their owners to horse meat traders when they realized that these animals who have provided them their main source of income for years, would no longer be of any use to them. Aside from the horses who are now enjoying their lives in the farms of their new owners, the Stray Love Ph Team also rescued several animals (dogs, cats, ducks, chickens & a monkey) in different parts of Batangas that were hard hit by the eruption. While most of these animals have been reunited with their owners, those that have been not been claimed are in the care of a private shelter whose needs are being financed by the organization thru the help of donors. To date, Stray Love Ph has come to the aid of animal emergency cases not only in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, but also, in Zamboanga, Ilo-Ilo and Cebu. It is the aim of Stray Love Ph to evoke an awareness in people on the plight of the suffering voiceless! To encourage them not to turn a blind eye to dogs and cats they see wasting away in the streets. The Stray Love Ph Team dreams of spreading viral love and compassion campaigns so more people will want to donate to this worthwhile endeavor of saving the lives of these voiceless and oftentimes helpless creatures. Stray Love Ph has started promoting Spay and Neuter Campaigns to Barangays and LGUs, as well as campaigning against Animal Cruelty & Irresponsible Ownership!

Another case of abandonment.

This poor boy was tied to a water meter.

Scared. Lonely. Hungry. Thirsty. Sick. Confused.

Why do people get dogs - only to abandon them when they get sick?🥲

Apollo needs our help. Please help us get him the treatment he needs.

We are good puppies, taking our vitamins like responsible babies.

But at the rate we’re growing, we don’t think we’ll fit on this tiny weighing scale much longer… don’t you think? 😅

Can anyone donate a bigger weighing scale for us, please? Our momma is still finding ways every day to keep our tummies full and our little bodies healthy and strong.

Thank you for helping us grow up safe, happy, and extra chonky. 🐾

Despite the lack of funding, our rescues continue to be loved the best way we know how.

They may not have expensive facilities or unlimited resources. But they have full bellies, warm beds, medical care, freedom to run and play, and people who refuse to give up on them.

Many of them came to us broken, starving, sick, abandoned, abused, or left for dead.
Today, they smile again.

But we cannot keep doing this alone.
Please help us continue feeding, rescuing, treating, and protecting animals who have nowhere else to go.

Your donation — no matter how small — helps keep this shelter alive.

Please support a most worthwhile cause. ❤️🐾

Rural Rising Philippines has come to our aid during some of the times we needed help the most.

Through their rescue buys, they not only help struggling farmers by purchasing their crops — which they then sell to the public at below-market rates — they also go out of their way to help needy shelters such as ours, so our rescues can receive the balanced nutrition they need and deserve.

We are truly grateful to Andie and Ace Estrada and the entire Rural Rising Philippines team for all the kindness and support they continue to extend to our rescues.

Birthday celebrants who choose to spend their special day with our rescues will always hold a special place in our hearts.

In a world where most people celebrate with parties and gatherings, choosing instead to spend time with homeless animals speaks volumes about the kind of heart they have — one filled with compassion, kindness, and love.

Thank you so much, Vini Cedeno-Cruz, and your lovely family, for spending such a meaningful day with our rescues. The joy on the dogs’ faces as they played with all of you was truly priceless.

Thank you as well for the much-needed dog food donation and for sharing your blessings with those who need it most.
May your kindness come back to you a hundredfold. We hope to see you again soon.

River was thrown into a filthy river and left there to die.

For days, he tried to survive in dark, toxic waters filled with garbage, sewage, and bacteria. Beside him was his sibling — equally terrified, equally helpless.

But his sibling’s tiny body eventually gave out from exhaustion.

He drowned.

They were thrown away like garbage simply because they had mange. Because to the people who owned them, they were ugly. Disposable. Worthless.

River survived... but the river poisoned him.

The prolonged exposure to the contaminated water caused severe infection. Now he is battling Sepsis and Tetanus — and once again, fighting for his life.

No living soul deserves this kind of cruelty.

Right now, River is undergoing aggressive treatment as we try to save him.

Please help us give River the life he should have had from the very beginning. 🙏🏻❤️🐾

2 OF THE HARDEST CHALLENGES WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH EACH TIME..

Shelter Repairs & Vet Bills..

We honestly do not know why, but these are the two fundraisers we struggle with the most.

Yet these two are among the most important considerations in running an animal welfare foundation with a shelter.

Over the years, we have been blessed with loyal donors who continue to support and believe in the work we do.

But the reality is, they are too few if we consider:

• The number of followers on our page
• The growing number of rescues every month
• The constant shelter repairs caused by wear and tear
• The overwhelming daily operational costs and rescuer fees
• The continuous care needed by discharged rescues who suddenly fall ill again due to age or recurring medical conditions

Running a shelter is by no means an easy feat.

The weight we carry every single day leaves us emotionally exhausted, and the near depletion of our personal funds has left us asking ourselves if we can still continue… or if we should finally let go.

But despite everything, we keep going.
Over the years, we have rescued, cared for, rehabilitated, and found loving homes for hundreds of animals.

For those who stay with us for life, we continue to give them the safest and most comfortable life they have ever known.

Today, however, we fear that we may no longer be able to sustain this unless YOU HELP US STAY AFLOAT.

Our current needs are overwhelming:
Vet bills are now nearing PHP 800,000.

Shelter repairs amounting to PHP 460,000 are urgently needed, including:

• A back wall to prevent flooding during heavy rains
• New septic tanks
• Proper drainage systems

Any amount you can share will mean so much to our rescues.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Please help us continue saving lives.
Please help us keep Stray Love PH going.

Barely out of puppyhood, little River was thrown into a garbage-filled river because he had severe mange.

For days, he and his sibling tried to stay alive by clinging onto floating plastic bottles. But the other pup became too weak… and drowned.

River kept fighting alone. Hungry. Terrified. Exhausted to the bone.

Until one stranger heard his faint cries and pulled him out of the filthy water with a wooden pole.

Now River is fighting for his life once more. He was found to be suffering from a severe blood infection and tetanus, and is currently in very critical condition.

Please pray for little River.🙏🏻

Pray that after everything he has endured, this tiny soul will finally get the chance to know kindness instead of cruelty.

And if you wish to help with River’s medical care, donations of any amount will mean the world to him.

Because sometimes, the difference between life and death… is simply knowing somebody cared enough to help.

Love donations dor River may be sent to any of the following STRAY Love Ph Foundation donation channels on the last slide.
