🚨 RABIES AWARENESS MONTH🚨

⚠️ Attention, Residents of General Santos City‼️
We have recorded several positive rabies cases in our area. Rabies is 100% preventable but almost always fatal once symptoms appear, so awareness and early action are critical.

🐶 Protect Your Family and Community

✅ Vaccinate your dogs and cats regularly
✅ Do not let pets roam freely
✅ Avoid contact with stray or unfamiliar animals
✅ Immediately wash bite or scratch wounds with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes
✅ Seek medical attention right away if bitten or scratched by an animal

🧼 First Aid for Animal Bites:

1. Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water.
2. Apply antiseptic if available.
3. Go to the nearest health center or hospital immediately for proper treatment.

‼️‼️Remember: Even a small bite or scratch can transmit rabies.
