🐾 Chuboo’s Recovery Update! 🐾

Chuboo, the rescued cat, is now doing well! His right leg wound has started to grow fur again, showing signs of healing. Chuboo is also eating properly and can now be seen roaming around the campus. 💙

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who extended their support and donated for Chuboo's veterinary care and recovery. Your kindness made it possible for Chuboo to receive proper treatment and get back to good health. Thank you so much!

Farewell, Manong Cat 🕊️

Earlier today, around 11:25 a.m., we lost our beloved Manong Cat. Despite our efforts to bring him to the clinic, he was declared DOA. Prior to his passing, he had been checked at a veterinary clinic and was diagnosed with a fungal disease, which was the reason for his confinement and close monitoring. However, after the check-up, Manong Cat began to lose his appetite and ate very little until earlier today, when he was seen eating briefly before vomiting what appeared to be tissue.

It took us some time to share this post, as we were grieving his loss. We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and supported his treatment—every contribution went toward his veterinary bills and medication for his fungal infection.

Though we are heartbroken, we find comfort in knowing that Manong Cat was surrounded by love, care, and compassion from the ADNU community until his final moments. He will always be remembered as the most handsome, most talkative, and one-eyed tomcat who brought warmth and joy to everyone who met him.

As we remember Manong Cat, we would also like to gently remind everyone to please refrain from feeding campus cats with food that is still wrapped, skewered, or packaged. Let us also dispose of our leftover food properly, as small acts of care can go a long way in protecting their well-being.

Going forward, ATAMANN will be implementing a stricter feeding protocol to ensure the safety and health of the Cateneans. For those who wish to help, we welcome in-kind donations such as kibbles and wet food, which greatly support the Cateneans’ proper nutrition and care.

Rest in peace, Manong Cat. You will always be remembered. 🐾🤍

Manong Cat is currently confined in a temporary enclosure due to 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡. He is waiting to be fostered next week.

As of now, there is still a 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 amounting to ₱4,650 on his vet bill. We are humbly seeking any amount of help or support would be deeply appreciated to settle his medical expenses. 🙏

Please don’t be alarmed if you hear him meowing. Manong Cat is doing fine, just really dramatic tom cat. 😺 We at ATAMANN are feeding and medicating him for this weekend so please do not approach his enclosure, he is already very stressed due to his condition.

𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆

We might have another case of animal abuse. 😿

A cat we named “Puti” was found earlier today near Xavier, weak and disoriented. Her condition raises fears that she may have been scalded with hot liquid, just like a previous case we encountered.

Around 4:00 PM, we encountered Puti. We immediately rescued and brought her to Doc Tormes Veterinary Clinic for immediate care. After examination, the veterinarian recommended confinement for observation due to a possible viral disease, low platelet count, and high hemoglobin levels. It was also noted that Puti may have recently given birth and shows signs of possible abuse, including burn marks and a shaved tail.

Puti urgently needs medical care and close monitoring. We are raising funds to cover her confinement, laboratory tests, and treatment expenses. Any amount you can give will go a long way in helping her recover and have a second chance at life.
