🐾 Another life for Matcha🥰🧡🐾

Matcha is a survivor. As a puppy, she bravely fought and overcame the parvovirus with the help of our clinic and the trust her loving family placed in us by allowing her to be confined and treated.

Today, Matcha faced another serious and life-threatening health challenge.

Her furparents became concerned when she started experiencing persistent vomiting, fever, and loss of appetite. She was immediately brought to our clinic, where she received first-aid treatment and underwent blood testing.
Unfortunately, Matcha did not improve with the initial treatment. Her blood work revealed a significant infection, prompting her return for further assessment. Additional diagnostic tests, including ultrasound, X-rays, and laboratory examinations, were performed to determine the cause of her condition.
The results confirmed that Matcha was battling a severe infection. Her vomiting continued, and her condition remained unstable. The ultrasound revealed an enlarged uterus, while the X-rays showed abnormalities in a section of her intestines, raising concerns about inflammation, tissue damage, or other serious intestinal problems.

Due to the urgency of her condition, Matcha was immediately admitted and scheduled for emergency surgery. She underwent a pyometra surgery (ovariohysterectomy) to remove the infected uterus, along with an exploratory laparotomy to thoroughly examine her intestines and identify the source of her persistent vomiting.
Our veterinary team carefully performed the pyometra surgery and conducted a complete exploration of her abdominal cavity. During the procedure, they closely inspected the intestinal tract for signs of obstruction, intussusception, necrosis, perforation, or any other abnormalities that could be causing her severe symptoms.

By God's grace, the surgery was successfully completed. The pyometra surgery went smoothly, and the exploratory procedure provided important answers. While there were areas of inflammation and concerns regarding possible intestinal damage, the doctors were relieved to find that there was no severe intestinal injury requiring additional surgical correction.
Because there was no evidence of intussusception or extensive necrosis, Matcha did not need a more complicated intestinal surgery. The mild intestinal inflammation discovered during the procedure could be managed with injectable medications and supportive care.

Following her successful operation, Matcha remained confined at the clinic for several days for close monitoring and recovery. Our team carefully managed her post-operative care until her condition became stable and her strength gradually returned.

Thanks to the cooperation, love, dedication, and unwavering trust of Matcha's family, she has been given another chance at life, another opportunity to enjoy precious moments with her siblings and the people who love her most.
Matcha is doing much better. She is eating well, regaining her strength, and has become stable enough to continue her recovery at home surrounded by her family.
👏 A huge congratulations to our skilled doctors and veterinary team for their dedication and excellent work. And heartfelt thanks to Matcha's family for entrusting us with her care.
Above all, we give thanks to the Lord for guiding us through this journey and blessing Matcha with a successful recovery.
Welcome home, Matcha! Stay strong, keep healing, and enjoy your second chance at life. ❤️🐶

‼️SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY CS & SPAY SURGERY FOR SASHA‼️🥰🧡

Sasha was already in labor when she arrived at our clinic. Her amniotic sac had already protruded into the vaginal canal, but despite her efforts, she was unable to deliver her puppy naturally. Her dedicated owner traveled all the way from Santa Rosa to Furrmily Vet Clinic so we could assess her condition and determine the best course of action.

Upon thorough examination and palpation, we found that the puppy was not progressing through the birth canal and could not be delivered naturally. This may have been influenced by Sasha's age, as she is already 6 years old, and this was her first pregnancy. Considering the risks to both mother and puppies, we recommended an emergency Cesarean section.
The owner agreed to proceed with the emergency C-section and also elected to have Sasha spayed during the same procedure. Spaying after this pregnancy will help prevent future high-risk pregnancies and reproductive health issues such as uterine infections and certain reproductive diseases, allowing Sasha to enjoy a healthier and safer life moving forward.

We are grateful to share that both surgeries were successful! Sasha recovered well, and all four of her puppies were delivered safely, healthy, and alive. Yayyy, thank you Lord.🙏🏻🧡

We thank God for guiding our team throughout the procedure and for blessing us with a successful outcome for both Sasha and her babies.
A heartfelt thank you as well to Sasha's owner for making the trip from Santa Rosa and for entrusting us with Sasha's care. Sasha has been part of the Furrmily family since she was a puppy, and we are truly grateful for your continued trust and support through the years.🙏🏻🥰

Congratulations to our doctors and veterinary assistants for their teamwork, dedication, quick decision-making, and exceptional patient care. Cases like this remind us of the importance of working together to ensure the safest possible outcome for every patient who comes through our doors.
Welcome to the world, little ones! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🩵
