๐Ÿพ WORLD RABIES DAY 2026 | WORLD STRONGER TOGETHER ๐Ÿพ

โ€œRabies is preventable. Together, we can stop it.โ€ ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’™

On this World Rabies Day, the IVSA Central Luzon State University - Standing Committee on One Health (SCOH) joins the global call to raise awareness and strengthen our collective action against rabies.

Rabies is a deadly yet preventable zoonotic disease that affects both animals and people. Prevention begins with responsible pet ownership, regular vaccination, proper management of animal bite incidents, and timely access to post-exposure treatment. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ

As future veterinarians and advocates of One Health, we recognize that protecting animal health is inseparable from protecting human health and our communities. Let us continue to educate, vaccinate, prevent, and actโ€”because ending rabies requires all of us. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒฑ

๐Ÿ“Œ Been bitten?
Wash the wound immediately and thoroughly with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes, then seek appropriate post-exposure care at the nearest Animal Bite Center or healthcare facility.

๐Ÿ“ Keep this post as your quick reference and share it with your family, friends, and fellow pet owners. One informed person can help save a life. โค๏ธ

This World Rabies Day, let us be STRONGER TOGETHER for animals, for people, and for a healthier community. ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒ

In celebration of World Rabies Day, Soarers once again took the CLSU grounds today, September 27 to distribute educational materials on rabies prevention and management! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ…

This initiative aims to equip the community with knowledge on how to prevent rabies transmission, practice responsible pet ownership, and take immediate and correct action in the event of an animal bite. By spreading awareness today, we take another step toward a rabies-free community because education is our first line of defense!

IVSA Philippines - CLSU extends its warmest appreciation to the GARC - Rabies Alliance for their unwavering support and for providing resource materials for this campaign.

Together, let's continue working toward a rabies-safe world, always for the animals and people of the world.

20/09/2026

Behind closed laboratory doors, millions of silent lives from mice and beagles to primates spend their days in small cages, enduring painful procedures and environments that strip away their natural instincts. Laws like RA 8485 and ethical frameworks were created to protect them, yet systemic neglect still leaves countless animals suffering.

We have the power to change this narrative. By choosing cruelty-free products in our daily lives, demanding strict ethical accountability in research institutions, and advocating for innovative non-animal technologies, we can help build a future where scientific discovery goes hand-in-hand with compassion.

Let us support humane and progressive science without compromising welfare as scientific progress doesnโ€™t have to cost innocent lives! ๐Ÿ’™โœจ
