Protecting your cats starts with awareness. Watch and learn about

✴️ Feline Panleukopenia (FPV) a highly contagious, life-threatening viral disease, and
✴️ Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) that impairs the immune system.

🦠 Feline Panleukopenia (FPV)Often called "feline parvo," an extremely aggressive and contagious virus. It attacks a cat's immune system and gut, making unvaccinated kittens especially vulnerable.

Signs to Watch For:
🚩 Severe vomiting, watery or bloody diarrhea, high fever, and extreme lethargy.

How It Spreads:
✅️ Through contaminated bowls, litter boxes, or even just contact with infected f***s. The virus can survive in the environment for months!

🦠Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)FIV is a slow-acting virus that weakens the immune system over time. However, an FIV diagnosis is not a death sentence—with proper indoor care and routine management, these cats can live long, comfortable lives.

🔹 Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)FIV is often compared to HIV in humans and weakens a cat's immune system over time.

Signs to Watch For:
🚩 Chronic gum disease, recurring secondary infections, and unexplained weight loss.

How It Spreads:
✅️ Primarily through deep bite wounds and saliva during territorial fights.

Vet's Advice: Prevention is the best defense!
🧑‍⚕️ Ensure your cat's routine FVRCP core vaccines are up to date.🐾
🧑‍⚕️ Keep FIV-positive cats indoors to protect them from secondary infections and to prevent spreading the virus to neighborhood cats.

More Than Just an Itch 🥴

The Hidden Dangers of Fleas!

Think fleas are just a summer annoyance? Think again!
Did you know one flea can turn into 1,000 in just 21 days? 😱
These tiny pests are a major threat to your dog’s health, causing more than just a little scratching.

🚨 Implications of a Flea Infestation:

1️⃣ Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD): A single bite can cause intense allergic reactions, leading to severe itching, hair loss, and skin infections.

2️⃣ Anemia: A heavy infestation can actually suck enough blood to cause life-threatening anemia, especially in puppies and small dogs.

3️⃣ Tapeworms: Fleas carry tapeworm larvae. If your dog ingests a flea while grooming, they can develop an internal parasite infection.

4️⃣ Constant Stress: The constant itch and irritation lead to behavioral changes like anxiety and sleeplessness.

✴️ The 95/5 Rule: Only 5% of fleas are on your dog; the other 95% (eggs, larvae) are in your carpet, bedding, and furniture. It is mostly there in your house hold and the environment!

Don't wait for your pet to be miserable. Schedule a check-up, and let us recommend safe, effective year-round prevention! 👩‍⚕️🐶

Prevention is simpler than treatment! Ensure your pet is on a consistent, veterinarian-approved prevention plan.

Have you noticed your female cat:
🩸 Seeing blood in the litter box?straining or crouching frequently?
💧 Leaving tiny droplets instead of a normal stream?
Meowing in pain while using the box?

These are not symptoms to wait on! Even in spayed females, blood in the urine (hematuria) and straining to urinate (dysuria) are significant signs of pain and distress.

Most of the time clients bring them in too late where there is already damages and significant elevation of kidney values.
Once creatinine is elevated this already means approximately 70-75% glomerular filtration rate insufficiency or kidney function is lost or damaged.

✴️ What it could be?

Common causes include Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (stress-induced bladder inflammation), urinary crystals, or a bacterial infection.

✴️ What to do?
If your cat is straining with little to no output, this is an emergency—please bring them immediately to the vet.

❌‼️ Don't let them suffer in silence.

Sydney, a lovely female spayed patient came in showing classic signs of lower urinary discomfort:
✅️ straining in the litter box,
✅️ keeps on coming back to the litter box producing only tiny droplets of urine, and
✅ visible blood in the urine.
She was admitted and hospitalized for medication and treatment warranted for this condition. 🙏🙏🙏

While urinary blockages are more common in males, female cats can also suffer from severe, painful urinary issues—including FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), bladder stones, or infection—that require immediate veterinary attention.

🚨 WATCH FOR THESE EMERGENCY SIGNS:

🚩 Frequent trips to the litter box with little to no urine produced.
🚩 Crying or vocalizing while trying to p*e.
🚩 Straining that looks like they are trying to defecate.
🚩 Excessive licking of the ge***al area.
🚩 Urinating outside the litter box (e.g., on cold surfaces like tile).

Why the urgency?
These symptoms are never normal, even in a previously healthy spayed cat. They indicate high levels of pain and inflammation. Prompt diagnosis with a urinalysis or imaging helps us find the cause (crystals, bacteria, or stress-induced cystitis) and get your feline friend on the path to comfort.

If your kitty is showing any of these signs, please call us immediately or visit our clinic for consultation.

Tamang nutrisyon na angkop para sa inyong mga alaga! ❤️😊🐾

Quick discussion on proper nutrition for your pets!

✨ Food is Medicine! ✨

2️⃣ Unsalted Natural Food: Kung nagluluto, siguraduhing walang asin, sibuyas, o bawang.

🚨 Has your cat gone 48+ hours without using the litter box? 💩🐱

Heart has not been p**ping for days already and so the owner was very worried.
He came to see us after the owner noticed straining and no f***s in the box for 3 days. Our team diagnosed them with Obstipation—which is more than just constipation; it’s severe, chronic constipation where the colon becomes overloaded and cannot function properly. Constipation is a common problem, but when it becomes Obstipation (long-term inability to p**p), it’s a major concern.

Watch for these signs of feline discomfort:
🚫 No p**p for 24-48 hours, straining, crying, or frequent, unproductive trips to the litter box
🤢 Vomiting or decreased appetite
😿 Hiding or acting lethargic

✴️ Obstipation is uncomfortable and, if left untreated, can lead to a serious condition called megacolon.

📢 VET TIP: If your cat is struggling to p**p, please do not wait! Contact us immediately. Early intervention is key to getting them comfortable again. 🏥✨
💡 Tips to prevent chronic constipation:
1️⃣ Increase Water Intake: Add wet food to their diet or use a pet fountain.
2️⃣ Grooming: Regular brushing reduces hairballs, which can cause blockages.
3️⃣ Weight Management: Obesity can make it harder for cats to position themselves to p**p.
4️⃣ Clean Litter Box: Ensure the box is clean and easy to access.

Maggie's success story. 🥺 🙏

🚨 Dystocia is a Time-Sensitive Emergency! 🚨
Maggie's whelping has gone wrong. Initially the owners did not know and recognized that she's pregnant since she is already old. She was not bred but could have accidentally been bred when she went outside their house.
Because she was a senior maiden dog, she unfortunately developed dystocia, as the puppies were slightly too large for a natural delivery.

✴️ Recognizing dystocia in older maiden dogs.
First-time delivery in an older female dog (maiden bitch) is a heartwarming event, but it carries higher risks. As our beloved pets age, their bodies may struggle with the intense physical demands of labor—especially if it’s their very first time.

Maggie already gave birth to a dead puppy 2 to 3hrs before being brought to the clinic as an emergency case. Upon checking with the radiograph, she still has 2 puppies inside her.

Watch for these Dystocia (Difficult Birth) Red Flags:

⏱️ Over 30–60 minutes of strong, active straining with no puppy.
⏳ More than 2 hours of rest between puppies.
🟢 Green or foul-smelling discharge before any puppies are born.
🐾 Mom seems completely exhausted, in pain, or uninterested in nesting.

Older dogs are more prone to uterine inertia (weak contractions) or issues with the birth canal, making emergency intervention a life-saving necessity.

For Maggie she had a very hard time breathing and passing the dead puppies out so we helped her with it all through out her labor and whelping.
She may not have gone home with her puppies but she made it home safe and alive. ❤️🙏Thanks to the quick action of her owners recognizing the signs of fatigue.

Remember: Older first-time moms need extra monitoring!
