No Foot, No Horse!
Hi mga ka-vet and ka-farmer! 🐎
In the field, we usually use a hoof pick for cleaning hooves safe and designed for the job. But what if wala tayo sa farm at walang hoof pick? Pwede tayong gumamit ng bolo… pero ingat lang!

Use the back side or dull part, not the sharp edge, to remove putik, dumi, at bato sa paligid ng hoof.
Start sa heel papunta sa toe, at dahan-dahan sa frog area para hindi masugatan ang hayop.

Remember — bolo is only for emergency cleaning. For regular hoof care and trimming, mas mainam pa rin ang tamang hoof pick o hoof knife. Safe sa hayop, safe din sa’yo.

A case of Mild Subcutaneous Emphysema.
Turkey is okay now.
If the swelling resolved without spreading, no breathing problems, and no new swellings, it was likely mild emphysema from a small air sac leak that self-healed.
The body can reabsorb the trapped air naturally within a few days.
Good sign: turkey is eating, walking, and breathing normally.
