We spent our first amazing days in Colombia and are already in love with this beautiful country and its kind people. Bogotá was the first destination where we not only had the chance to hike up Monserate, check out La Candelaria, amazing museums and weird but awesome food (Guava candy with cheese!) but we were lucky enough to witness the beautiful wedding of our friends Compadre Pablo Duarte and Luisa. A fantastic night, filled with salsa and love - one could say the main ingredients to a happy life :)

Can you believe it? 3 months are already coming to an end! We are spending the last couple of days in Bangkok, where it all began... One of the last highlights of our trip was watching Muay Thai fights at the famous Rajadamnern Stadium. We decided not to take the tourist seats (which you can see empty and in blue in the background of the ring) but rather sit between the packed seats for the locals. Amazing to be part of the crowd and see them betting on the favorite from close up. Another experience that we will not forget!!

A couple of days ago we visited the Imperial City Hué. The citadel with remaining parts of the purple city was really pretty and the tombs around the city quite impressive. Have a look below.

Caves, caves, caves! The last 2 days we spent exploring 2 of the 300 caves in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. Yesterday we took a boat to and within Phong Nha cave and today we hiked for 4 km through Paradise cave. Pictures cannot capture the width and depth of the caves but we tried anyway :)

Our trip is slowly coming to an end and we are getting to the first "lasts". We spent two amazing days around the rice terraces in Sapa and did our last trek and last homestay there. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay with a black hmong family who not only shared their meals but also their home-brewed rice wine with us :) it was a bit foggy so the rice terraces are hard to spot on the picture but trust us when we say: the real life thing was absolutely stunning! And thus one more reason to go explore the area yourself ;)

We are back in Vietnam and spend the last 2 days cruising through the Ha Long and Lan Ha bay. We were lucky enough to have a boat all to ourselves, meaning that we were cruising through the bays far off from all the masses of tourists. The big bed on deck of the boat soon became our favorite spot. If we didn't spend time there, we were busy with kayaking through caves and lagunes or buying fish from the local fishermen which our captain then prepared for us. All while being surrounded by this breathtaking scenery! We never want to leave!!!

The first days in Laos already took our breath away. We have been hiking and kayaking through Nam Ha National Protected Area and were able to connect with the locals in a home stay. The primal forest can not be described with words, although we'll try: the biggest trees we have ever seen, uncountable species of flora and fauna, banana trees that almost touched the sky... and in addition, the kindness and resilience of the minority people, inhabiting this stretch of land, will always have a special place in our hearts. We are very grateful for the experiences we had in Laos so far and are happy to continue our journey in stunning Luang Prabang :)

The last 2 days we spent trekking through jungle and minority villages near Pai. We even had the opportunity to stay in one of those villages in a traditional house with our lovely host Dam. A dinner (and too much 'Whiskey') together with his family in their kitchen was certainly one of the highlights of the past 2 months.
