A blocked cat was rushed to Malvar Veterinary Clinic after experiencing difficulty urinating—
after a thorough assessment, prompt treatment was initiated to relieve the urinary obstruction and stabilize our feline patient.

⏳Time is critical. Cats with a urinary blockage should receive veterinary care within 24 hours of being unable to pass urine. Delaying treatment beyond this window can lead to severe electrolyte imbalances, kidney failure, bladder rupture, and even death.

‼️If your cat is frequently visiting the litter box, straining to urinate, crying in pain, or producing little to no urine, don't wait. Urinary blockage can become fatal within a short period if left untreated. Early intervention saves lives. 🏥🐈‍⬛

Yesterday, we encountered a rare and challenging case — a 4-day-old piglet diagnosed with atresia ani, a congenital condition where the a**l opening is absent. 🐽🐖

Despite being just a few days old, this little one showed remarkable strength as we proceeded with surgical repair to create a functional opening and give it a chance at a normal life. 💉⛑️🩺

Cases like this remind us of the importance of early detection and prompt veterinary intervention. With proper care and monitoring, piglets with this condition can survive and thrive.

Kudos to the team for handling such a delicate procedure, and to the owner for seeking immediate veterinary care. 👍💯
